And that request, to buy her a cocktail dress?
Oh, don't get me started!
I'll buy it, and I'll hope it fits.
But I ain't gonna pay for.it.
No, if she wants one, even if she begs me like a bunny,
I ain't gonna spend any of my money!
No matter how many puppy eyes,
I ain't gonna lie.
I am not buying her that dress!
Well, I would if it cost less.
NO! Don't mention it once more!
I'll lose it, for sure!

The fire burns in her eyes,
A passion that has yet to die
From our resounding argument.
Maybe the next time around
I'll just use acid on her instead.

So much guilt,
Her face flashes before my eyes.
Oh God, what have I done!?
Blood puddles under a still form,
Flaxen hair frames a serene face.
In death, she found peace.

A melody in the silence,
Of coldness and despair,
A constant shift of power
And the silent noise in pair.
An instrument of darkness
And an instrument of pain,
Conduct the silent symphony
In the silent, quiet rain.

Lurking in the cold white light
Time stretches out a finger and beckons
Asking you to follow
But you are much too young
And it's much too soon
shivering cold, mind on fire

Shivering cold, mind on fire
I still think of the day you left me in straights so dire
There in the midday light, asking me to walk
And once we got 'there', then we would talk
Talk about what? my brain repeatedly questioned
Even though the truth, I knew, I did not want mentioned
When we stopped, the words you started to mutter
Only confirmed the dark thoughts I dare not utter
I screamed and cursed, a park bench I did throw
Yet it was not out of anger, but pure sorrow
At that moment you walked out of life
Leaving me with naught more than strife
Wandering in circles with nowhere to go

Wandering in circles with nowhere to go
I trudge aimlessly in the dirty snow,
Still smarting from that sudden blow,
A stone skids against the river's flow,
Towards the setting sun's faint glow.

Oh where do we start?
Your badgering questioning
My constant pestering
An annoyance reaching astronomical heights
But only our odd minds could find such delights
Out of such toughened love
Ideological romanticism we shove
Painful recognition haunting my dreams

Painful recognition haunting my dreams
Who I have become is not who I am
For conformity has called to me too often
Can I reform? Is there a chance?
Only if there's someone to save me from the dark
More dangerous than a waffle iron
