Okay, if you have 1005 points and have a 1000 AP armatar and someone deletes a bunch of your posts, what happens to the 1000 AP armatar?
Hmm.... good question. I was wondering about that myself awhile ago. When I get close to 5000 AP, I'll post some stuff on my own messenger, change to a unicorn armatar, then delete those comments to see what happens.
I imagine it would go away, and you would be stuck with the default nothing until you choose another one.

Devoidless is right if you have an armatar and you lose the amount of Ap you need it will just go blank,
