Well! What was originally going to be my own little poetry challenge has turned into a major competition! Please read every word in this opening post very carefully as everything I say must be adhered to. I don't know if you know this, but I am very strict with my rules and regulations...
The general point of this competition
A few of us users have come up with a list of 50 themes which can be found below. The aim of this competition is to write a poem or a piece of short prose for each theme, just for fun! There are no deadlines (as of yet) for the submissions because I don't want the pieces to be hurriedly written, so don't let that put you off participating. Everyone is welcome to participate. There's no pressure to submit all 50 pieces, take your time, have fun!
Please remember to follow the basic rules of the AMW. All work must be your own. No flaming, trolling, spamming, etc. Only provide critique on a user's piece if they have asked for it specifically. Keep general discussion on this thread to a minimum so as to remain at least a little bit on topic.
Submissions
A list of rules that (hopefully) cover everything you need to know about submissions. Read carefully. If you have any questions, contact me on my profile.
*You do not need to submit the pieces in order. You may start with whichever theme you like.
* Once you have written and revised a piece, submit it!
*You may submit more than one piece at a time, although submitting too many at once will seem as though you've rushed them.
*I will keep track of how many submissions each participant has entered on my profile, so take a look once in a while.
*Only short prose pieces are accepted. Nothing too longwinded please. I am going to include a word limit of 1,500 words.
*There is a certain structure to submitting a piece in order to keep the thread nice and tidy:
- Your piece must have the theme name and number as the title in bold. You may also include your own title in brackets next to it.
- You must state which form you have written your piece in, for example, haiku, short prose, sonnet, standard verse, etc.

I am going to include a few features similar to Strop's 'erks and penalties' idea in the WoM. Some of them are preeeetty difficult, so good luck with that. Once you've completed one, I'll stick your name on my profile.
Here they are:
1) Theme-a-Rama!: Mention 15 separate themes in one piece.
2) Sonnet 130: Write a mock sonnet which relates to love and one other theme.
3) Total Overkill: Use the theme title 6 times in one piece.
4) Like a Freight Train: Be the first to complete the first 10 themes.
5) In The Dank And Dark Recesses Of The Mind...: Be the first to complete themes 8, 14, 17 and 46.

Considering that "nudity" defines as "having no clothes, naked", I can't see your point.
Besides, if it was full frontal nudity, it wouldn't be allowed on AG anyway.
I just continue putting warnings in my entries, if nothing, then for the jokes.

I would update it, if I has hosted it on photobucket, where it would actually matter, but being on dA, the image won't refresh to the new one, sadly.
But soz, I have been spelling stuff wrong a lot today.
Wait.. I don't think I get it.. So they fell/jumped into the abyss without thinking of the consequences, they passed through a metaphorical barrier of fire, signifying.. what? To me, it signifies the realisation that the initially thrill-seeking plunge they took has turned sinister - the charred wings signify helplessness - and they're now doomed to fall into.. a metaphorical messy end at the bottom of the pit.. .
Unless you have .. someone there .. to stop you..
I don't think I quite grasped the deeper meaning.
You got it quite right.
Actually, to be honest with you, the text isn't based on the images. I just had the idea an went with it.
If I can put it somewhat clear without ruining a soon to be scene in the WoM, then Sai, the girl up there, have been in the wrong crowd a lot, dating gang members and drug addicts, and basically being both a punk and an emo for most of her teens.
Her family didn't actually know, so there was no "don't do this, don't ruin your life".
It ended with her simply stopping short in her tracks and concluded that she couldn't continue with that anymore, packed her bags and left town to start a new life somewhere else, where her old life (and her ex) wouldn't find her and drag her back in.
To be analytical about it: Temptation and stupidity have consequences, and sometimes you can't make up for the mistakes afterwards. At least not without someone taking your hand and help you on your way.
And yeah. Then again, she is a pretty lousy angel with those tiny wings.

I don't think there is any argument in this, really. If I actually do something worth actually warnings for, I would post a link instead.

Yep, I was thinking of doing stories and then just a few poems for some of the easier themes. I wrote a mini poem for the Kraken theme, it's terrible though xD
My smashed and battered sailboat washes up upon the shores,
Flung from yellow gaping jaws, discarded from the feast,
And my fragile broken body lay on high rocks to the east,
As a warning to all fishermen: Beware the silent beast.
I think I might just leave it at that. 1 down, 49 to go!

If I am to believe Strop and Zophia, I have a natural talent for writing other people's characters, but I usually need to know them a bit. But perhaps. "Watching the world burn" first, tho.

Thanks for liking my little poemy thing Cen and if you want, I'll tell ya a bit about my char, but you could just generalise it to the nature of phoenixes rather than my specific character nature.. That is if you choose to use it. You don't have to :3

In the Dark Recesses of the Mind: A hero among Evil
Out of the ashes,
a demon spawned to create:
The world was burdened.
"God of Searing Black";
named for: death by black nightmares;
cause of death were screams.
Death's prime advocate,
He stalked those who were old
of beliefs and fear
Invader of dreams,
he filled the light with blackness;
gaping mouths showed how.
He visits one way:
Sleeping With Paralysis.
All hope by then shot.
Flames ablaze, none
could help themselves from falling,
into Black's cold grip.
There was one white soul,
who resisted with splendor
and drove out the black.
God of Searing Black,
disgusted with such failure,
Consulted with Death.
Said, "black took in white",
"your heart moved brightly in with
such a nirvana".
Other attempts failed,
Queen of Shining White trespassed,
A battle took place.
White filled his heart,
God of Searing Black no more,
His former self gone.
Visited by Death's
temptation; Black couldn't win.
Killed thus, Death no more.

Gary had a little bear
With stuffing made of lamb.
Everywhere that Gary went
The bear was always there.
He took his bear to school each day
And hugged it with his nap.
At storytime it took his lap,
At recess it was play.
And so it was that every day
The bear would go to school
Coming home with Gary's drool
To be washed away.
It tumbled 'round every week
And every week it dried
Sitting in the sun outside,
A huggable cotton freak.
