Talking about the AMW, anyone who wants to keep the works that were created yet have not saved them anywhere else could just copy and paste into notepad and save it for when the AG3 forums surface. Is it convenient? No. But it will make for a much less cluttered forum to start. It gives an opportunity to organize your works, and even edit them if needed.
Sadly, it seems that looking back on the forums via the Wayback Machine and other cache sites may not be an option as AG blocked the community from being crawlable :/

Yeah, there's always that option. My concerns were the competitions though. I'm sure it would be of value to have a record of who-won-what-and-when.

Yup, I tried MrDayCee's link to AG1, and tried to go to AG2's earliest days to get some info. Too bad it won't work. That's why I'm going to screenshot and upload everything myself.
If anyone's curious, the button to hit when you want a screenshot is "PrtScrSysRq." It's near the top of most PC-compatible keyboards. When you hit it, open up Paint and hit CTRL + V. Then the screen will be pasted onto Paint. Merely save, upload, and share.

I tried to find TTICA via the Wayback Machine and I couldn't even access the main community page.
Which, of course, means if the forums get erased, they get erased for good. In other words, we'll never see any of our precious posts again.

Not everything. Just the most significant things that Gantic won't include in his threads of repute.

Will AG3 have buttons for editing posts, previewing posts, and a "subscribed threads" tab where you could see any new posts in threads you have posted in or manually subscribed to?

If only we had an admin here.
It would be foolish of them to not include those features. Most if not all modern forums have them.

It would also be foolish not to include them because there would be no purpose in redesigning the forums if they didn't have anything new to add.

i like it the way it is too but there is room for improvement, i've said it before and i'll say it again, there should be the option of sub-threads, like in the call of duty sticky have like a division for each call of duty game

There's no point in it. Making different threads for different topics (like your Call of Duty example) is what the forums are made for. Sub-threads would subsequently make it harder to keep track of for mods.
