The lord of rings movies were WAY more epic than the harry potter movies. But the harry potter books were WAY better than the lord of the rings books, which were extremely boring.

LOTR, because Harry Potter is just crap Lord Of the Rings is original, and didn't copy off anyone. and has a better story and is just epic

Ok, even though I love Tolkien's works, they were in fact based off numerous elements from the Bible and other myths and folklore.

I would have to say LOTR because it has a good story line and was based on WW1 life.
