Umm okay well I first hand have had the red ring of death. Are all of your lights red but one light out in the bottom right corner? If so I suggest that you call Microsoft and report the problem to them. Because I had to exact same thing and it's a defect and they'll fix it. Go through all the steps in about a week a box will be sent to your house. Just send that box off with your XBox and about a month later you'll either get a new or a refurbished XBox in your box. Congratz your XBox is fixed!!
