That picture is hilarious! But I wonder why would someone be afraid of a duck?

This used to be my favorite show EVAR. I don't know if it is really a word, but it is in my book.

ZOBOOMAFOO!

Google it!

Is it Greek/Roman in origin or something else entirely.

It doesn't even remotely sound like it would originate from Latin.

It's Greek. And kudos to Gantic for introducing advanced grammatical ideas to the thread.

I was about to make the mistake of saying it wasn't Greek, until I remembered something about Greek and Latin.

Come to think of it, hypocrisy is a good word. It's concise and "direct".

I remember singing in school the song with the word Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, from Mary Poppins.
I also like the word from the title of a german children book: Der satanarchaeoluegenialkohoellische Wunschpunsch. It contains the words satan, anarch(y), archeo(logy), lie, brilliant, alcohol, hellish.

I kinda like long words, go figure..

It is related to the word zygote (and zygomatic, both of which are clearly of Greek origin), which is more commonly known as the last two word of the dictionary that finds common usage.

It's even related to another awesome word: syzygy! No yoke. /terribadpun

It also clearly contains a similar form to dogma, enigma, magma, stigma and the oh-so-Greek sigma and Zeus. The last one isn't actually related to zeugma (in a sense). So it most definitely looks like Greek.

Gantique. That pun is not terribad . . . it is awesomesauce.

On a related note, I enjoy zenith quite a bit. It embodies the sense of accomplishment and superiority it carries in its definition.
