J Geils Band - Freeze Frame

When I hear about awesome album covers, this is always the first one that comes to mind.

Devo - Something For Everybody

You have to be familiar with Devo to appreciate this one.

Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms

Simplistic, but still divine.

Bellamy Brothers - Angels & Outlaws, Volume 1

I don't know what I like about this one, but it's very calming and is the perfect artwork for Let Your Love Flow.

ZZ Top - Afterburner

It's just plain awesome. Or just plane awesome if you want to get punny.

ZZ Top - Afterburner

Interesting. A mix of a Space Shuttle and a 1920's car. I like it! But another album cover I like is the Bajofondo Tango Club - Supervielle. It is so mysterious to me... I like it. =)

I don't believe this was an album cover rather than just that of the single, but one of my favorite songs just so happens to have an awesome design on its cover!

I've always liked the Fleet Foxes album covers - they're rather fun to look at.

Also Bon Iver's self-titled album, since it seemed to be a smidge similar in depth and detail.

Most distinctive would have to be at least one of the Disturbed albums.

The Eagles - Hotel California

Eric Clapton - Self-Titled I Believe/Eponymous - Not Exactly Sure

Sorry about that, I couldn't hold my excitement and pressed the submit button. Let me try this again.

Nice to see there's still some life into this thread! =)

How about some cheesy 80's album covers?! They are SO awfully bad, they're great! LOL =D

Tigertailz - "Young and Crazy"

Tigertailz - "Bezerk"

Poison - Look What The Cat Dragged In
http://www.amoeba.com/dynamic-images/blog/Kelly/Poison-Look-What-the-Cat-Dragged-In.jpg

And then some nice covers by great artists...

Journey - "Escape"

This is an awesome beautiful album cover in my opinion!! One of the few albums hanging proudly on my wall!

What you can Ernie... I can too! Even though "Afterburner" is truly awesome and beats mine, let's not forget:

ZZ Top - "Eliminator"
http://www.retrorush.com/images/products/tshirts/ZZ_TOP_eliminator_t-shirt_M_S.jpg
Bold, straight forward, defined cover by the Texan rockers!

Pillar - "Where Do We Go From Here"
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51QM5RW46ZL._SL500_SS500_.jpg
A simple design, but the meaning behind their music has a reflection in the cover...

Who's next? =)

How this threads been going a while. I didn't even remember that I even posted here before. Anyways, a new one now

Rush's Grace Under Pressure. The surrealism of the cover always amazed me. Also, if you look closely, you can see a face.
