-----Introduction-----

The purpose of this topic is to bring awareness to Armor Games community about Mozilla Firefox. Firefox is an alternative browser to Internet Explorer. Why are we bringing attention to Firefox? Firefox not only works with flash applications more efficiently, it also has a lot of great add-ons that enhance the community (most important is the spell-checker!!!).

-----Mozilla Firefox-----

Mozilla Firefox can be downloaded: Here

Great things about Firefox:

   - Helps you enjoy a better web experience
   - Is more secure than IE
   - Completely customizable

-----Recommended Add-ons-----

1. Adblock Plus - Ever been annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page? Install Adblock Plus now and get rid of them.

2. Grease Monkey - Allows you to control bits of Java Script.

3. Faster Fox - Tweaks Firefox to run faster.

4. Customize Google - Just like the name says...

5. Quick Translation - I think this is very helpful for our members who have a little trouble with English. This will definitely help us all communicate better.

6. Fireshot - Enhances how you take screenshots

-----Notes-----

This is just a recommendation to use instead of Internet Explorer. By no means are we trying to convey that Firefox is required to use Armor Games. If you have some more suggested add-ons or questions, please post! Thanks everyone!

Also, if Firefox 3 Beta 5 is an indication of what firefox will be like soon, its getting way cooler - especially with the option to click and drag logos, pictures, etc and drop them right on the bookmark toolbar.

Oh. My fav addon is McAffe site advisor

[url=http://www.siteadvisor.com/download/ffmedia.html?cid=21638&gclid=CInhnPbXg5MCFQVxHgodQFsK1A]

It gives you a handy little icon next to links when you use search engines that tell you if they're known for spam, phishing, etc.

*******PLEASE NOTE*******

This topic is not to share whether you use Mozilla Firefox or IE. All further posts need only to be futher add-on recommendations. I should have made this more clear in the original post. All other comments will be deleted so that it doesn't get cluttered with a bunch of:

"IE ***! YAY FIREFOX!"

Some useful addons:

All-in-One Sidebar - A sidebar similar to that of the Opera browser which can display your downloads, extensions, history, bookmarks, source code, etc.

MR Tech Local Install - An extension which allows you to manage your extensions and themes and offers some neat options for your config and other tweaks.

Google Preview - Inserts thumbnails into Google and Yahoo! search results which allow you to preview each site without clicking on any links.

I have a decent add-on. Not really for Firefox, just all browsers in general.

StumbleUpon - Bored? Click the 'Stumble' button, and you are taken instantly to a random website based on parameters you set yourself! Everything from Anime to Zionists are availible to Stumble upon. (Pun intended)

Overall though, firefox is better because its newer and more commonly updated compared to IE. IE itself has many errors and haven't been able to catch up with its competitor firefox. It's best suggested on using firefox or else you'll have many problems such has higher possibility to get virus and spam because IE has already been hacked to the point that it cannot not reveal private information.

ive got firefox, and i just recently added the fasterfox add on. while i was downloading i read on the coments that it compleatly didnt work and that it actually made your computer slower. but it did work to my friends and there was one coments saying he downloaded it and all the other coments where not true. i have it now and i dont feel much diference, though it IS a little faster. i think this might work to some people  and to others not quite ^^
