But thatâs tricky to pull off, so do what tommy suggested, just make sure it has at least 2.2k max damage before you let the pylon finish charging, so it can deal with the monsters the shadow sends at you.
Try this: Swarm-only waves, max monster count (i don't know, have you premium or not), i had x2 Then make something like this near your wizard's tower. TTT TMT TTT T=tower M=mana shard Use grade 3 pure red gems. After depleting, on M make amplifier, where add another pure red with maxed grade. and upgrade just it(i got level 9 red gem). At same time build 1 tower near every other shards, and 5 near pylon. I used level 3 gems to charge/mana drain. About 60-70 wave i finished charging pylon. I combined all red gems with kills and get gem with 5k+ total kill=gem with >5k damage in this setup(you even can get amulet for 7 gems with 700 kills): AAA ATA AAA A-amplifier, T - tower. smash red gem, that was in amplifier, and use that mana for filling these 8 amplifiers. You can get more than 100% damage to kill ratio, what can add another 1-2k to damage.

I had 4 towers built up around the pylon with level 3 reds in them and one level 3 gem on each mana shard. In one corner somewhere I stuck a level 5 red and surrounded it with amplifiers also with reds in them. I finished constructing the additional pylon around wave 70 or so. My power gem was level 8 or 9 and the amplifier gems were all level 6.
When the shadow hits, follow these steps in order and you should be fine: --Add lime into your powergem + amps --Bump your powergem + amps up one grade each using the mana from the monsters --Unlock purple if you don't have it already and combine one level 3 purple with each of the level 3 reds you have on the mana shards. Don't set them to focus on structures; that way they'll shoot the shadow and its projectiles when in range. Knocking the shadow's armor out helps a TON.
You underrate shrines. I built 4 shrines for amulet, and after 4 activations with 5-grade gems Shadow lost half of the hp. Possible to activate even more, if you know it's path.(charged bolt shrine near pylon can be activated 3-5 times)
actualy. poison is the best for this leval. cause of mana shards its very hard to lose, so the shadow is the only problem/ high poison kills it so fast cause poison egnores armor.
