ok i will deffinatly quit my modship if U2 doesnt advance

U2 is probably the most influential band of all time (next to the beatles of course). what they have done for society and the WORLD is incredible.

my second vote goes to whitesnake cause i personally like their music alot better then the others.

@calvin youre lucky im counting your votes -_- poor reasoning.

ill go ahead and do a quick vote tally

U2:10 (3+3+1+3+3)
Rainbow:3 (3)
Whitesnake:2 (1+1)
Def Leppard:1 (1)
The Cult:1 (1)
Bad Company:0
Status Quo:0

Strong lead for U2, keep those votes up

WOW! A sudden spike in votes coming in!! O.O

I never suspected so many votes in such a short time and they are very diverse, YAY! =D

I'll hold on to posting a first score round up untill even more come in... ;)

@ waluigi : That's what I like about Def Leppard in particular, the extremely talented one armed drummer! He was so determined to continue drumming after his accident, that he thought of ways to get it all done with the revised usage of his existing arm and legs! He simply assigned several drum features with other actions performed and so... continued drumming! Very admirable! =)

@ CalvinDultrey : I have to be stricter in reasoning... please elaborate a little more, ok? ;)

@ HahiHa : I share your concern for Rainbow maybe not making it through... somehow the current generation knows little to nothing about the great band formed around the extremely talented guitar player Ritchie Blackmore and it's legacy to rock music... =/

@ iamnotironman : I'm already thinking of fine-tuning the competition's schematics and the voting system for next year's edition! I'm trying to think of ways to get even more diversity and excitement into the competition, so hang in there... ok? ;)

I'm sure you're absolutely not taking advantage of those votes, because you don't care for U2 at all ;)

1. Bad Company - Their music has a certain aura about it that makes you want to listen to it over and over again. When I first heard "Rock N Roll Fantasy" I think I must have listened to it at least 10 times in a row before switching songs.

2. U2 - They have so many great songs it's ridiculous. I can't quite say I'm a fan of them, but I do enjoy hearing a fair amount of their songs when I hear them on the radio.

I'll give my 1st vote to U2 because they've got awesome songs and their concerts we're amazing. Also, they have such great ideas at concerts, one time, Bono Vox (singer) tied a rope on the microphone and got on the top of the stage and he was slowly going down and singing. Amazing.

My 2nd vote goes to Whitesnake because they have their unique style, I guess. Their songs are great. They have that one song thats soooo good, I couldn't stop singing it.

First vote: U2 they deserve the win here, I really love their song
Sunday Bloody Sunday and Beautiful Day is good to, plus they have influenced many bands including 30 seconds to mars, which my mom
called a "U2 ripoff".

Second vote: Def Leppard for being a good band and having the song
Rock of Ages.

I think I'll take Bad Company here.  I think there are some songs by the other groups that I love more than what I love by Bad Company.  However, Bad Company has an overall sound that makes it so I can listen to probably anything by them and not get turned off.
