LED ZEPPELIN!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brilliant sound creativity and improvisation. Led Zep has also made a massive impact on music and people in my opinion and more of an impacts than ZZTop. I love the guitarring from Led Zep, it's brilliant and different!

Also, my Dad loves Led Zep so you can count in his vote on this. He loves improvising on Led Zep's stuff.

And when I want to put solos into stuff on my guitar I use Led Zep based solos.

Led Zep have more famous songs and more people have heard Led Zeppelin so
yeah

LED ZEP FOR THE WIN FOR THE WIN FOR THE WIN

MrDayC?
It would be nice to move on to the grand finale. I do believe a winner has been determined? It just sounds so much nicer and more fun when you say it!

lol

I was trying to keep people's hopes up, but somehow... I already knew the winner for this edition of the "C.R.B.W.C." as soon as the 1/2 Finals were over! ;)

The reason for my absence in posting here is simple... I felt confident that the thread could remain open for a while without too much trouble and provide room for me to work on preparations for it's sister thread, the "M.B.W.C."! Sorry for my lack in posting nontheless... =/

Allright then! Time to post the final score and officially announce the winner for this edition!

Final score count for the "CRBWC GRANDE FINALE" :

10 - LED ZEPPELIN - WINNER!!!
5 - ZZ TOP - Runner up...
____________________________________________________

(Final voting scores and overall ranking list will be posted later...)

And to end it with a nice deserving poster for this edition:

It's closed... done... decided... officially declared! =)

And with this post, it also means that we... *wipes tear* ...conclude this edition... *gulp* ...of the Classic Rock Band World Cup!!!

---

Buuuuut... don't worry! There will be a new edition coming! (o.O)

And to make sure that it will be even more exciting in battles, I want to ask you to please state your suggestions (if any) in this thread untill the new edition is launched and I will make sure to take them into consideration for the next edition!

Some guidelines might be needed though... try to make sure that the bands you suggest are :

- Classic Rock music bands;
- not too recent (new) bands
(founded during/in the 60's, 70's or 80's is key)
- and try to avoid the 'one-time-hit-only' bands!

Closing...
Thanx to everyone for participating in this edition! I had a lot of fun reading all the posts and reasonings and it was awesome to run the competition! Without your efforts and votes, it wouldn't have been possible... a BIG THANX!!! =D

Give a list of the battles already appearing in the next edition to make suggestions easier.

I'm still gathering all the bands and even though I have a lot of them lined up, I still need additional bands to add to the groups at the start of the competition...

So I'm asking people to suggest bands that haven't been featured in the last competition yet! =)

Some ideas I alreayd have are the following:

- Cheap Trick
- REO Speedwagon
- Warrant
- Gotthard

Nothing is final yet, so all suggestions are welcome!

And it won't be untill after the summer before the new edition launches, so there's plenty of time! ;)

Expanding on what ViceGhost said, or at least how I interpreted it, why not give us the list of bands that have already battled so that we don't all have to scroll through 77 pages just so we won't look like idiots if we suggest bands that have already been in the competition?

Just a thought.

I'm working on that right now guys... I still have to make a final ranking based upon the votes given in the last edition... once I have them all lined up, I will post it here and we can work from there on out, ok? Give me a little time... ;)

Disclaimer: Some bands may appear to have more votes than others, yet they are ranked lower than that. The difference in votes is because of the total votes given; however, the ranking is based upon progression during the competition.
Bands that were eliminated during the stages are subsequently ranked based upon total votes, total of first and/or second choiced votes given during the group stage and alphabetically.

---

For those that want to contribute to the "C.R.B.W.C." and suggest bands for the next edition (iwc. thank you!), here's your chance to have a look at the bands that were already featured!

If you feel that there are bands that haven't been featured yet, and you think they should have been, please state them in this thread and I will take them into consideration for the next edition! No spam posts and no promises though... ;)

UIn the end... again, thanx for those that have participated in this competition and took the time to vote and write up the reasonings for their favorite bands! =)

Well i barrely missed this one. I am a HUGE classic rock person.

Do you mind giving me a rough start date of the next one? I really dont want to miss it.

Although i think Led Zepplin deserved to win, i believe Van Halen shouldve beat pink floyd. Eddie van halen uses his guitar in such a unique and unpresedented way that it seems as if he makes his guitar... Talk! He speks through it and makes his guitar SING!!
