A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line eight syllables, the third line seven syllables, etc... until line nine that finishes withone syllable. Rhyming is optional.

(No taking your old work!) 3)Your poem must fit the weeks theme. 4)Your poem must be submitted by the deadline. 5)You may only submit one poem. 6)Sorry you can't win two weeks in a row. (but you can still submit!)
If this thread gets popular, then maybe the winner could get a merit. The deadline will usually be on friday, which in tis case is April 6th This weeks winner, will have the opportunity to be a judge. If they do not want to, then I will ask second place, and ect. Start posting your poetry!

Hmm, my Nin line must of been deleted. I knew something was up. Anyways. Need a judge? I've nothing too major to do right now, I can fill in as a judge if you need it.
So evidently I've been put in charge of this contest now, unless it was some different StrategicCaptain that I talked with. Oo ANYWAY. Judging will be up shortly, since there really weren't that many submissions.

This one was a good entry, but I felt the lines were broken in the wrong places. However, I did enjoy the metaphor and figurative language.

Talking people, racing cars, street noise. No sound better than city voice! Dirt, stone, ash and smelly smoke. Sexy ladies and blokes. The clamor! The din! I love that kin, of music. Urban. Moar
I liked the idea that the city noise is music to your ears. It's unique, which is why it won. The only problem was that the lines seemed to be a bit random. Especially the last one. XD Either way, it really was a great entry.
