It's been a while since I personally posted a new topic in this forum, but something has come up and I feel I need to voice my opinion. For those of you that browse the Games forum and the Tavern, you're probably aware of all the AG-Related threads that are extremely repetitive. All too ofter I see threads like:

"Wat do u think about Armor Games?
"Armor Games vs. [insert other game site]"
"Favorits on Arm or Gamez?"

And it's starting to get rather annoying. The Games industry is a very broad subject and there's room for a number of intelligent debates, but right now it's being treated incredibly poorly.

What should we do?

It's like Duck Hunt, only with incredibly unintelligent threads.

Well I generally feel like every single "THIS VS THAT" thread is pretty annoying, because really every thread doesn't need to be binary opposition. Especially when people start comparing amoebas and Halo.

I don't think it's a huge issue to correct. If people keep bumping them then it's a conversation people want to have, so as long as people stop bumping the threads with "I don't want to talk about this" they will go away.

Mods are already locking down the ridiculous or repetitive ones, so no worries.

Thanks for the support, John. It's always nice to know that the mods/admins are taking care of stuff.

By the way, I'm making a personal goal to beat every single Ball Revamped by this weekend. =)

Haha, the thing is, people making these repeated threads are either unaware of the rules, or know the rules and ignore them. Either way, there should be something done about these kind of topics, but all the site can do as of now is lock and delete them. It isn't too disruptive in the community, but it is still a problem.

I'm with John on this one. I LOATHE the THIS vs. THAT topics. I don't mind the "Why do you like AG?" topics, though. Some people really give insight to why it's a good site, and why it isn't.

Haha, and on those threads, they will say, "I like neither of them, but I like this!" which of course is spam and has nothing to do with topic, but they can get quite annoying. Most of them are comparing stupid things, like TV shows or stuff like that. Maybe you guys should make a rule that states no VS threads.

Facist rules? I don't think you used that word right, but why would you have to quit? If that rule was made, it would help the site. Those VS threads are usually spam anyway.

by facist i meant over controlling

and the key word there is USUALLY because some VS. threads bring up valid arguments

Please don't link to other forums...kinda defeats the purpose of this one. And Fascist rules? A) You probably don't know what Fascist means, so I suggest you go study government. and B) We're not evil, we just like running a orderly forum. You're not going to be banned for anything unless it's REALLY serious, but you're not going to be appreciated either.

...did i ever say you were evil?

mussolini wqas the most notable ruler of a facist government and Mussolini defined fascism as being a collectivistic ideology in opposition to socialism, classical liberalism, democracy and individualism

and thats what i mean when i say facism
