I need no introduction. Oh, wait, I guess that's a little late. As you may have guessed, this is the infamous Jeol's thread.

So this morning, I was on my way to the co-op I take classes at thinking about my speech, when out of the blue comes a story. About a land named Rhyme. So, in the class I made my speech in after my speech, I started to work on one of my first poems that wasn't inspired by the 'First Line Poetry' thread, a quatrain.

Rhymes of Rhyme - a quatrain.
Once upon a time,
in the land of Rhyme,
rhyming was so prime,
it sparked such a fine time.

There was a man named Pine
in the land of Rhyme
who rhymed so prime,
it made ev'rybody cry.

When the man died,
it made the country dry
for the prime of their rhymes,
and the rhymes lost their shine.

In times since then,
in the land of Rhyme,
rhyming was so bland,
no one ever rhymed again.

Yes, the non-rhyming of the last stanza was intentional. Yes.

I will post other creations and whatnot in the future.

Out of curiosity? Are you French? The Parnassians were a sect of French Poets I believe, so... Of course, today a 'arnassian' is just a fancy word for a poet, so I could be overthinking this...

Uuh, prolly. I know I'm German, but I might have a tad bit of French in me, but I honestly don't know. I was looking through my thesaurus one day when I found the word 'arnassian'... I liked it.

Howdy.

I got bored and made a new character. I might use her once and a while. Hope you like her.

I considered going into more detail, but realized that some of her actions might not be AG-worthy. It's mostly violence, soo.... I'm trying to refrain from keeping her as dark as I'm imagining, but it's a little hard... She has a fighting style I haven't really seen before, so... Enjoy.

Her name is White. I know. Such a colorful name. She's intentionally non-colorful, the only white being her eyes and the sash-like thing across her ninja costume. I'm happy how it turned out, seeing as it's one of the first times I really tried to use the style (eyes, hair). The knife is intentionally backwards, that's her fighting style. Soo... Yeah. This is White. Hope you like.

I've realized that today I've been using this more as a journal than anything... I guess it's a good practice anyways.

I'm feeling really random. Oh wait, I'm always like that. Anyhoo, I suddenly remembered that paragraph story thingy that I did a while ago and decided to see how much I could make it work. I guess I'll work a little bit with White, working with character development and writing skills and also writing paragraph stories. :P

Introductory of White - Paragraph story

White pushed open the doors to the highschool and walked the hallway. Another year, along with the same chatty people yet more idiots to deal with. Small and thin, she donned skin-tight dark denim jeans still holding the scent of the store they were bought from, a old, baggy black t-shirt, and a gray hooded sweatshirt to cover it up. Around a corner, her colorless face revealed itself around the corner followed by her dark black hair. Several large, stocky teen guys stood around a much smaller frame by a set of lockers. Great, she thought. Jerks are being jerks, as usual. She sighed. There was no chance she would survive her freshman year of highschool.

Ninjas can wear anything. That's why they're so sneaky. :P

I'll prolly do another sketch or two, change up the costume a bit. Yes, Dudeguy, she will probably still have a skirt. She loves skirts, especially long flowy ones.

Can't imagine that's very stealthy.

O.o

Well, if I'm still active / becoming active again, might as well bring this back up.

.

Commoners (Submittion for the NC. August 21st)

How do heroes embark on their quests?
Are they always valiant men?
Or are they simple persons?
Are they common, like me?
Yet, heroes commit
To challenges,
And end as
Victors,
All.

Unbearable Emotions (Submittion for the 10DPC. August 28th)

Every day at my bed,
I lay and let the daily mem'ries settle;
There I rest and let emotions overcome.

As I lay there in the darkness,
I only fall in sorrow, there,
Thoughts of regret fill my mind,
'Till at last I cry myself asleep.

But in the night still, I wake;
The fears of my dreams set in,
And all that's left of me are my emotions,
shaking me, piercing me through the night,
'Till at last I can bear it no longer.

Out of fear and anticipation, I get up;
Seeking the lightswitch, I stumble;
Reaching the medicine cabinet, it opens,
As if wishing I were to partake of it's contents.

Reaching my trembling hand inside, I take
any bottles I can grab, and opening them,
I down every last pill that ever reached my hand.

Nevermore will I live, yet despite this loss,
I will never feel emotions again, those
Gripping, stealing, sleep-depriving thoughts;
They will never again reign in my heart.

Welcoming Death (Submittion for the HC. August 30th)

The sailor stepped up;
Off the rail he jumped, with glee,
Ocean welcoming.

The Lily (Submittion for the HC. August 16th)

A lily so bright,
Petals splayed like brilliant stars,
Thriving 'neath the sun.

.

Then some random haiku for the Haiku land.

Upon this very
Place that I stand, high above,
The view is cloudy.

Out of the misty
Haze he ran, stopping only
to admire the view.

The bright blue petals,
Gleaming brilliantly throughout
the land surrounding.

.

That'll be all for now.

Bragging Rights (Submittion for the NC. September 7th)

Not to brag, but I seem to be here,
At the top of the world, above
All you sick peasants below.
I, ruler of your world.
Just think of it! Hah!
Oh my luck! Here,
I am served,
content,
pleased.

Random Poeming, etc.

O'er the land,
O'er the seas,
Through the mighty forests;

On I traveled,
On I sailor'd,
Beyond the distant horizon.

Where to live,
Where to stay,
On the edge of the world I stand.

Which poem? I be confuused :/

Time for a meandering.

I just realized how many people around me were German, or closely related. Today, at my church, a Thai showed up. Now, I usually don't really feel worried about going up and talking to people, but I found I could not bring myself to go up and talk to her. Maybe it was me, maybe it was my friends who always think I am 'hitting' on girls when I talk to them... That's one of the reasons I almost never talk to girls in church. Whenever I go to my co-op, though, I can talk to pretty much anyone. That poses another problem, though - anyone in my co-op is German [or closely related, minus my Spanish teacher], and co-ops don't get visitors, not to mention the only visitors would be the co-op people's friends, who are GERMAN [or, again, closely related]. The only chance of non-German people coming in would be the teacher's friends, and it's not like we would become very good friends then :P

Really, in that case, the only chance I get of actually experiencing some cultural diversity is through this site. Seriously, though, I have gotten the chance to meet some very different crowds on here :P And then, of course, I could try to talk to the Thai if she shows up at church next Sunday... We shall see.

Humm, I'm horrible at keeping this up. Time for some poetry.

Explorer, I

Travelling the far lands
I will explore the deep crevices
Everything, I will take note of,
nothing escapes my gaze.

Marching through these uncharted sands,
The desert is not quite inviting -
I shall move on to seek out more land and love
The gentle lay of the 'scape.

On I shall move, through realms uncharted.
Though sometimes bland and unexciting,
Lands are always different,
No matter where you may gape.

Explore with me this nature unimparted,
Let us set out to the grand vistas afar.
Out in the unknown, there is no dissent.
Come with me, escape to the uncharted.

Entry for the 10DPC, actually doing a poem, not to mention more than a week before the deadline One of the first I have worked hard at for a long time, and one of the best I have written, in my opinion.

'Clouds'

Floating blimps of white,
Suspended high in the sky;
Master calls them 'clouds'.

Wrote this while waiting for class to begin.

I think I'm back in my poetry mood, because I may be obsessing over writing again... I guess that's a good thing.

Revised version. I always forget to reread my poems *rolleyes*

Now, for some new content...

Check the watch,
Stand alone,
Wait impatiently.
Don't worry, love,
I am coming,
Ev'ry minute I am closer.

Find a bench,
Sit under restive,
Sigh once again.
Don't be angry,
For I will be there,
And shall stay by your side.

Soo, lately I've been getting into a bit of HTML5, which is kinda fun to work with. It makes me happy because I'm not actually using a picture or anything... But I'm still drawing. Still have a few things to work out, but here is the result of my work thus far:
