are there anymore ways to get merits?

From what I can see he didn't mention the two poetry contests in the Art, Music, and Writing forum that rewards the winner a merit.

What, the comments?
Well, if you can write the good and the bad points, ways to improve the game and otherwise make a proper intellectual and useful review without writing it semilong, you probably have superpowers.
But then again, I am not sure what you are referring to entirely, and what your definition of "long" might be, because to the rest of us it might just be "regular" length.

I wouldn't have given it a merit. It is confusing to read, both because you don't seem to put in a space after commas, and very much so due to the overuse of smileys (and the = is a bit annoying too).
Usually a merit would be more likely to be given to a comment that helps the developer (and thus indirectly the other users) by pointing out issues with the gameplay, glitches and so forth.
And mods don't generally have time to give a merit to comments where the writer didn't have time to spell out "you", so I would recommend you take some time and put a good bunch of thought into your gamereviews, if you by some reason are going specifically for merits.

I just skimmed it and I already know it does not. You just said nice game and then described how to get the special achievements. That's not even close.
