Ideas for a really, really weird world
What if the sky was rainbow tie-dye instead of blue? Then the ocean would be too!
And by the way, those rhymes were totally unintentional, but I'm proud of 'em nonetheless.
I always found that games are far more immersive than movies and I want the player to experience what it is like to be in such a despreat society that what would normally be considered a morbid and brutal thing become widespread and widley accepted.
You'd make more money if you made it into a movie, so you could make one a few years after you release the game to attract both gamers and movie people. The gamers might hate you if the movie strayed too far away from the game, but what are they gonna do?

i have a new idea for a rpg. i call it "in the middle of the eye".
That actually sounds interesting. Not that I'd ever participate in an RPG, but it sounds like a very creative idea for one and I'd like to hear more about it.
here you go:
in the middle of the eye
story:
you lived your live, went to school/work, you made every-day-things till you dreamed that dream. it started like a normal dream and then...you saw a big, floating eye, looking straight at you. it fell slowly towards you. you entered it through its pupil. you woke up with a strange feeling. you looked at your clock, not noticing it stopped.instead of doing whatever you do after standing up, you went outside. the streets and the neighboourhood were empty. after knocking on doors and ringing bells you found out that the houses were empty too. you tried to use your phone to call your family and friends but nobody answered, not even the police. something strange is going to on and you have to find out what.
character sheet:
name: (first and last, if you like: surrname and/or nickname)
gender: (male or female
age: (10-40, you can be 5 or 90 too but then you are handicapped by your age)
living: (example: 10-17: by mom and dad, 18 or older: alone in your own house or with your own family but you cant find them)
description/bio: (how you look, what you did before this happened but keep it short)
inventory: (i will change that later)
time: (same as inventory)
sadly i have not the time to host it so feel free to host it. have fun!
note: this is not a survival game or a horror game, something strange happened. i will tell the host what, it is up to you to check it or to have a surprise.

This comment and the fact that we are talking about a weird world reminded me of a whiter shade of pale

I remember I once made a minecraft texture pack where the clouds were purple. It looked really cool and made good screenshots for when the sun was setting.

True, if i do that then I'll prolly pick a whole new character to avoid the haters.

I think that that would be interesting, but then how would that make sence? Also is the color just a film on top of the water or is it a transparent tye die of purple and green? (would look nice)

Ironic. I thought of Paint it Black by The Rolling Stones.
What if the world was as trippy as the Yellow Submarine movie?

yea I was thinking of it being a really trippy world as well, but i didn't know if anyone else was considering that, so now that I know that people are, why should we stop at it being that trippy, why not go further?
How bout have it where all the flowers sing all the time, alcohol wouldn't have an effect anymore (the world is too trippy already that it went to the limit) you could walk through mirror and be able to turn back time if you run really fast through them (requires being faster than light) there is no trash because everything is edible (and tasty). The sidewalk feels like you are walking on clouds and falling does no damadge because the ground absorbs your fall. Water has unexplained properties that make it sometimes grow and other times shrink.
That's all i could think of so far.
Off Topic:I remember i once was on a TF2 server that was an exact representation of what it would look like if TF2 was on LSD and extasy.

you can breath under water, swim and dive into earth, fly/float in the air because gravity wont affect you (not only you, everything else too), animals and plants can talk and sing (objects too), buildings are constantly changing their height, you can walk into pictures and everything changes it color every minute (with sprinkles/dots/stripes/other shapes and color mixes like yellow with green dots and blue stripes and red rectangles).

I think that it would be better if instead of just random color changes the color changes in pulses so almost like how ripples on water go, the color would be like that.
