What in your opinion is the coolest movie death? I believe it's Lord Beckett. Oh why did they kill him and Mr Mercer off? =(

Laser defense system deaths on Resident Evil: Genesis (I think that's the subtitle, well, it's the first one Mila Jovovich stars in). Watching that black captain get diced was bar none awesome.

I'm pretty sure more deaths from these series of movies will show up in this thread, but one of my favorites will always be the Final Destination one where they are standing by the train crossing and you keep thinking that he/she is next on the list and then... another person gets decapitated!! LOL =P

Oh, yeah! I totally forgot about Final Destination! I really like the massage parlor scene from the newest one, and also the flag pole spearing on the third one.

There was this old made-for-TV movie called The Dungeonmaster in which, at one point, the protagonist has to fight the heavy metal band W.A.S.P. I believe that at the end of the encounter (haha, see what I did there?)all of the members of the band explode.
Another cool death is in one of those zombie movies with "dead" in the title, although I don't remember which. One of the characters starts getting devoured by zombies, and all he has to say is "Choke on it!!!". That's bad-*** right there!

I agree with ilberic the face freeze from Jason X is cool.
Then again you can't really beat the face melting from Indiana Jones. Very cool effectsand looked great especially when I was a kid.

I do admire Andrew's death scene in Chronicle. It was creative given the circumstances, even if it was somewhat hastily set up.
I don't know how great a death scene anyone else thinks it is. When I was in the theater, it screamed "awesome", and that doesn't happen very often.
