A bit of a forum game, but since it deals heavily with songs, I feel it should go here.

The rules are quite simple: Simply name the song that the above lyrics are from. Try and see if you can do it without using Google. :P

That being said, name this song:

I was there when the bear ate his head,
He thought it was a candy. (Everyone knows in the end)
Knock, knock, on the door.
Whose it for? Theres nobody in here. (Look in the mirror my friend)

DUNG! I decide to check in again and... someone posted Poison - Nothin' But a Goos Time?! Double-dung!! (o.O)

And as usual... I don't know (never heard of) the current song!
I actually YT'd it, but I still don't know it, nor am I going to snitch! LOL

If nobody guesses it, I'll ask for it to be reveiled by Ernie and another one posted... fair? =)

I've found my target, I've reached my co-ordinates
I'm set to detonate and resonate - the final poem I will create
I've made a video - it tells a story, oh....
I guess it's time to go - don't forget to rewind.

I want to say Human Rocket - Devo. But, I'm not positive, my parents are Devo fans but I'm not so I can't be sure on this one.

It was night when they came
evil and deceit were hidden under frocks
on their necks-crosses in their hands-swords
they came to kill on behalf of their God
dissimilarity is imprisoned
in the darkness of the dungeons
the old faith impaled on the stake
old holy groves were destroyed
in the name of the cross
against other people
against the truth
against everyone
against yourself
tortures of liberated souls
which are decaying in the cells of the ecclesiastical strongholds
the knights of good are distributing death
spreading violence in the name of God

Bro, how are we supposed to know what song it is without looking it up if you can't even understand what the vocalist is saying? It's The Blessed by Decapitated, and yes I looked it up. So I;m not gonna post any more lyrics, I'm just gonna open the forum back up to whoever.

@ ATCaver: You completely missed the point of this thread... the idea is to get people to restrain themselves from using Google to guess a song simply by the lyrics posted!
It's both a test for your character and your brain! Get it now? =)

TO keep it going... you are allowed to post new lyrics FALLEN950!

Blinded by your sacred faded past times,
Only time is your enemy,
Granted a second chance to prove that your arrogance is stronger than you'll ever be,
Stronger than you can be,
Oh, stronger than you can be

Okay well I didn't know the name of it, but I had it on my phone and I knew who it was by.

Crying like a (female dog) - Godsmack

Alright, I shall participate in english music now.

>

When I can't find the word I'm looking for
or I reach into the drawer with four tries
but nothing sticks, there's no telling why I opened it.
I try, but I just forget.
What there once was, I have not forgotten.
What there once was, it won't leave me alone.
The synapses still fire and direct my thoughts,
they just seem tired of hunting for homes.
And I'm not brave enough to say that I am not afraid,
should I return to confused bits of blindness,
a tongue wanting words in the sweet speech finds a form,
then returned to the bald toothless need of a child hunched and cradled
(his spine returns the curl to fit the cleft of an arm).
O, we are embarked and return to the place we start to thrash against it.
It's a wild thing to accept, and who can hold it?
Think about the loss of anything.
Well, someday if you wake to a nameless stranger in me, lead me outside.
Let me go.
If I'm already there, just let me go.
I'm not.

Haha I found with the first sentence xD It's Bells by Anathallo

Lyrics from a band I discovered recently :

Never stop the car on a drive in the dark
Never look for the truth in your mother's eyes
Never trust the sound of rain upon a river
Rushing through your ears

Arriving somewhere but not here

Did you imagine the final sound as a gun?
Or the smashing windscreen of a car?
Did you ever imagine the last thing you'd hear as you're fading out was a song?

All my designs, simplified
And all of my plans, compromised
All of my dreams, sacrificed

Ever had the feeling you've been here before?
Drinking down the poison the way you were taught
Every thought from here on in your life begins
And all you knew was wrong?

Did you see the red mist block your path?
Did the scissors cut a way to your heart?
Did you feel the envy for the sons of mothers tearing you apart?

Somewhere..
But Not Here? I believe I'm correct.
Yeahyuhs! How did you discover them? I've never met someone who has heard of them before @_@

I was a quick wet boy, diving too deep for coins
All of your street light eyes wide on my plastic toys
Then when the cops closed the fair, I cut my long baby hair
Stole me a dog-eared map and called for you everywhere

Flightless Bird, American Mouth - Iron Wine This isn't my kind of music but I know it because my sister is a big fan of twilight -.-. Anyways, here's some lyrics.

With your feet in the air and your head on the ground
Try this trick and spin it, yeah
Your head will collapse
If there's nothing in it
And you'll ask yourself

The song is Where is My Mind - Pixies

Some Lyrics:

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.

I am pretty sure it's: Beatles - Love me Do.
It's a really great song by the way.

So, my lyrics are:
This is getting old.
I can't break these chains that I hold
My body's growing cold
There's nothing left of this mind or my soul.
Addiction needs a pacifier, the buzz of this poison is taking me higher.
This will fall away, this will fall away.

Well done, son of a gun,
Hot dog bun,
Attilla the Hun,
My sister-in-law is an Irish nun

If you get this right without Googling them I will give you a million dollars.
