This game consists of 4 players, 4 towers, 40 randomly generated 8x8 dungeons, and a story.

First, the story:

The 4 players come across what was previously a castle. However, only 4 towers and a sign remain. The sign says:

You have found the site of a new adventure. There should be 4 of you. Each of you will choose a tower based on certain information, then you will enter that tower. Each tower has 10 levels full of monsters, traps, and treasure. Your goal is to reach the top of the tower, where you will press a button to win the adventure.

Essentially, you will be competing with other players, but you won't be interacting with them. When joining the game, you can choose a tower that is not already chosen. You will start at a certain location in the 1st level of the chosen tower. You can move up, down, left, or right when you take an action, or you can investigate your current location. When you investigate, you will find out how many monsters, traps, and treasure locations are adjacent to your current location. Adjacent means that you can move to it in one action (you cannot move diagonally).

Now for some info about the starting location in each tower:

Tower 1: 1 monster adjacent to the starting location, 6 actions away from the exit

Tower 2: 1 treasure adjacent to the starting location, 6 actions away from the exit

Tower 3: 2 treasures and 1 monster adjacent to the starting location, 2 actions away from the exit

Tower 4: 2 traps and 1 monster adjacent to the starting location, 7 actions away from the exit

Before making your decision, you should read these instructions:

Your character sheet should look like this:

Name: (put whatever you want to be called here, which can include your username)
Level: 1
Experience: 0/10
HP: (this will be explained later)
Strength: (stat)
Dexterity: (stat)
Constitution: (stat)
Tower Level: 1
Tower: (put a 1, 2, 3, or 4 to indicate your choice)
Deaths: 0
Damage Bonus: 0
Potions: 0

Stats:

Stats are Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution. You will put a 1, 2, or 3 in each of these. This is how placing stats works:

You can either put a 2 in all stats or put one of each number (1, 2, 3) in each stat.

Each stat has a meaning as follows:

Strength: Having a higher value here increases your chance to avoid damage from some traps.
Dexterity: Having a higher value here increases your chance to avoid damage from some traps.
Constitution: Having a higher value here increases your HP.

HP:

HP will be put as a fraction as follows:

Current HP/Maximum HP

HP start as Constitution+4 and go up by 2 each level.

Deaths:

If you go down to 0 HP, this counts as a death, and you will restart at the starting location for the current level. When you reach the top, your page number will be recorded after adding the number of deaths you have.

Reaching the Top:

Reaching the top means completing the 10th level of your chosen tower. Completing a level means finding the exit, which will lead you to the next level. Each level will be randomly generated when you reach it. Each level has 6 traps, 6 treasures, and 15 monsters.

Traps:

Each level has 6 traps. Each trap deals 1-6 damage (determined randomly) unless you succeed in avoiding damage. The chance to avoid damage is as follows:

Each trap has a 0, 1, or 2 visibility rating. A 6-sided die will be rolled, and you avoid damage if the roll is not above the max. The max is the sum of either Strength or Dexterity (depending on the trap) and the visibility rating.

Treasures:

Treasures can be any of the following:

Damage Bonus: adds 1 to the Damage Bonus stat
Healing: heals you to full
Potion: heals you to full the next time you investigate
Experience: adds experience

Each level has 6 treasures, and the treasure is determined randomly when you go to a treasure location.

Monsters:

Each level has 15 monsters. If you go to a location with a monster, you will enter combat, which is explained later.

Combat:

Each monster has a damage number and HP. You start by attacking, and you have a 67% chance to hit. If you hit, you will deal damage equal to a the sum of roll of a 6-sided die and your Damage Bonus. When the monster attacks, it has a 67% chance to hit you. If it does so, you take damage equal to the damage number. If you defeat the monster, you gain Experience based on the monster.

Logistics:

Up to 4 players can play, but play will start as soon as someone join s the game.
