Eh, cheer up, I had to wear uniforms for all of my compulsory school life - it wasn't THAT bad and it's better than messing up your own clothes when you're messing around with friends or doing something that could stain your clothes in class.

If you're in the army, you're not going to tell the sergeant you refuse to wear the uniform are you? You go to a pubic school, you comply by the rules. I've been doing it for more than a decade, and I don't care. I'm in school all day, not at a club to socialise when appearances really matter.

I'm required to wear school uniform. Most schools in New Zealand are. I approve because my uniform is quite fine, and it saves me from the fuss of having to care about what clothes to choose. I go to school to learn, not to parade around like a moron.

And for anyone with silly ideas: I actually have no problem with wearing casual to school, and I would love to if I had a better wardrobe. However the way this thread has been opened disappoints me. Playing the constitution card without elaborating. I don't mind you resort to your constitution but please, elaborate.

Oh, and spell "amendment" properly before you open a thread on the WEPR. I usually avoid this board for a reason.

My school doesn't have uniforms, just a dress code. Pretty much you can wear anything that isn't sweat pants, and anything that isn't a tee shirt. You're required to wear the previously named articles to gym though. I don't support dress codes or uniforms, but I really couldn't care less about them.

Our school uniform black pants, black shoes, button up white shirt and a vest with our schools symbol on the right side of our arm
Then theirs the white uniform which is the same except it's all white XD.
We can wear anything we wish on Fridays though.

That's absolutely right,but keep in mind that " a person's freedom ends where another person's freedom begins". Maybe it's not expressed perfectly, but the idea is that ona can wear whatever he or she prefers, but it's important not to offend other people.

I come to school cause you pretty much have to if you ever want a good job, My school we wear regular clothes, personally the thing that bugs me about most school uniforms is that they look nerdy and Gay. Who the **** would want to wear formal to school? It's retarded, but they don't want "People's clothes distracting everyone else" or some crap like that, Sure if someone wears a shirt that says:

"**ck all of you"

Sure that's probably a bit understandable but still.

But on the first day of highschool (when I get there) I'm gonna get everyone to wear all blue or red.It'll be so funny because red and blue is not allowed there.

On the last day of school I pretty much do anything I want, it's not like they'll remember when it starts up again. This year I plan on bringing an air horn to school and be like this say someone asks: "What's the-" And I'll be like "FWAAAAAAMMMMM" With the air horn, it's hilarious.
