Bloom

O, sweet flower, come unto me
I can show you the hills and sea.
Bloom, and let your petals unfold,
Our tale will be forev'r retold.

It all begins with just a seed.
The simple thought of you and me
Takes root in your mind and in time
Will culminate when church bells chime.

Don't be scared when the first stalk sprouts;
The point we've only dreamt about.
The strong collision of cold hearts
Explodes in warmth as the heavens part.

Your intense beauty: beyond words.
Living free like the cageless birds.
And with a rebel yell we go
To explore all things we don't know.

Never lost and yet never found
This land of gold where love's abound.
As you dig your roots deeper now
I take the leap and make the vow.

Now as our two stalks become one
We know the journey's just begun.
We stand stem in stem, hand in hand,
Two flowers blooming in the sand.

So can you see how easily
A perfect love can be upheaved.
The end is near, a shock to thee
A perfect love, in once believed.

Just like the slowly setting sun
A perfect love is waning now.
Relax and let it come undone.
A perfect love was not a vow.

Remember a promise that read,
"A perfect love would never end."
There is no way to see ahead
A perfect love, Time will rend.

This vast desert of loneliness
A perfect love, a slight reprieve,
But we can't long rely on this,
Our perfect love was so naive.
