Since the popular thread from 2011 has gone to hell with outdated images, false page redirections and 4 blank pages of deleted posts, I think it's time to start anew for the 2012 community.

I'll start out by posting some strange (but real) sodas I found on Google. You can be the ones to determine whether or not you'd ever try any of them.

http://steveandamysly.tannerworld.com/databank/2006/image_jonessoda_2006_holiday_holidaypack_antacidflavored_review3.jpg

The label on the last one is real, but the flavor is fake. You'll have to learn the Jones way of doing things.

Chips are another favorite when it comes to bizarre flavors.

^ Those BLT chips are actually not too bad.

And, of course, the Canadian classic...

If you know of any strange flavors or you just happen to find some online, post them here. Pictures are always appreciated.

That's actually a very helpful diagram (the one at the bottom of page 97). I'm going to use that as a reference point for McDelicacies from around the world.

For now, I'm going to focus on two in particular from two different hemispheres.

From the Northern hemisphere, we have Japan's McHotdog Mega Sausage, which sounds more than anything like an overly-hyped roller coaster. Nevertheless, Tokyo is one of the only locations in the world you may still be able to find a hotdog at McDonald's.

http://insendai.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/mc-hotdog.jpg

Apparently, there still may be a few locations in the United States as well, particularly in Pennsylvania, but don't take my word for it. I've never been to Pennsylvania, and apparently the internet hasn't been there since 2011.

(This product is not do be confused with the Taiwanese rapper MC HotDog.)

From the Southern hemisphere, we have the less-shocking but still equally unusual Kiwiburger, which contains egg and cooked beetroot in addition to your traditional McDonald's burger toppings.

This burger has been discontinued and reintroduced so many times, it isn't even worth going into detail.

That's a misleading name if you live in another English-speaking country. I pictured a burger with a couple slices of kiwi fruit on the patty!

I'm actually surprised the chart on the previous page mentioned Hawaii's Spam McGriddle, but left out the Taro pie.

I posted this on page 48 as well. With a neon purple filling, you'd never expect it to be completely lacking in flavor.

But McDonald's is full of surprises.

Funny you should mention that...

As I stated on page 75, the orange square is jellied passion fruit, not cheese. Just clarifying for those of you with cheesy minds.

Yum?

I've never actually tried those, but I see them from time to time, and they're apparently fairly popular. Basically, the whole "Limited Edition" tagline is bupkus. There's nothing unusual about them.

Still, it is a bit strange to flavor them after the entire taco rather than just a certain type of salsa, or beans. Actually, beans would be an even more awkward chip flavor.

I spoke too soon.

What is that, a burger with fruit on it? And is that a glazed donut bun? Looks almost delicious.

It looks even more delicious when you find out the patty is made of chocolate. Beef would be a bit awkward with all that sweet stuff around it.

I respect McDonald's a lot because they are all about quality. This probably sounds like sarcasm because, well, it's McDonald's, but they really do strive to make the best possible outcome, even if they don't always succeed. I say this because I look at the McHotdog and wonder if it's any better or worse than a regular hotdog.

That does sound a million times better.

I've been seeing ads today all over the site for Starburst minis.

Looks about the same. The question that crosses my mind is, does a hotdog in Asia taste different from one in a Western country?

Here are the images of the links @Bender124 posted:

The beans have been posted before--I think even in the original 2011 edition--but I believe the chocolate frog is new to MBFF.

Here is a BBCode guide in case you would like to post images in the future.

Just from looking at these, I don't see the logic behind them. Starbursts are already the perfect size as it is. A version 1/4 the size would not be capable of possessing the same quantity of flavor and chewiness that we all take for granted in our beloved candy squares.

But, if 12-year-old girls are buying them, Starburst must already be profiting from this bizarre idea.

I'll post a few images for the portion of the community that's afraid of clicking links.

Out of all the items on that page, though, I'd say the most interesting one by far is this package of Miracle Berry fruit tablets.

http://a.tgcdn.net/images/products/frontsquare/ab3f_miracleberry_fruit_tablets.jpg

I still have yet to acquire anything miracle berry-related, or to be invited to a flavor-tripping party....if people actually have those....but the idea itself is pretty interesting on its own.

Astronaut ice cream? Does that stay cold or is it just like eating a warm, solid ice cream bar?

I've heard about that miracle berry stuff. I wonder what they would make Dayquil taste like. That would be a worthwhile investment if I could take that stuff and not despise every moment of it.

I still don't trust that Magic Choc. Something about it makes me feel like I'll die of lead poisoning if I eat it. But these are the risks you have to take if you want to go far in this trade.

Does that stay cold or is it just like eating a warm, solid ice cream bar?

It's freeze-dried, so it would be room temperature when consumed. But at least it doesn't melt ever.

However, this can happen to it.

I've heard about that miracle berry stuff. I wonder what they would make Dayquil taste like.

Apparently it does make alcoholic beverages sweeter and smoother, so it could have an effect on the flavor of Nyquil, which contains about 10-25% alcohol, depending on which internet sources you trust. Dayquil doesn't contain alcohol, but if it's bitter, a miracle berry tablet or two could probably fix that.

You could be the pioneer mixer of Dayquil and miracle berries and be forever revered in the miracle berry community.

Here's Bender's last image.

Also Ernie have you ever tried the freeze dried ice cream? It's really something... so good...

Does that stay cold or is it just like eating a warm, solid ice cream bar?

As Ernie said it is room temp. and when you eat it, it is somewhat hard and crunchy but still has the good ice cream flavor.
