Since the popular thread from 2011 has gone to hell with outdated images, false page redirections and 4 blank pages of deleted posts, I think it's time to start anew for the 2012 community.
I'll start out by posting some strange (but real) sodas I found on Google. You can be the ones to determine whether or not you'd ever try any of them.
The label on the last one is real, but the flavor is fake. You'll have to learn the Jones way of doing things.
Chips are another favorite when it comes to bizarre flavors.
^ Those BLT chips are actually not too bad.
And, of course, the Canadian classic...
If you know of any strange flavors or you just happen to find some online, post them here. Pictures are always appreciated.
Lol... WOW! Who knew bacon had so many uses? xD
For the most bizarre bacon product, that bacon frosting takes the cake... *giggle*... I can't even begin to think what that stuff would taste like!
@ Chicken in a can
That definitely wins the award for most disgusting food item posted so far! Even the double-decker pizza burger has nothing on that... thing! >o<
Shoot... does this mean I'm going to have to pull out the ol' skillet? *blows off dust*
I guess this also means I'm going to have to relearn how to work the stove. *dusts off cobwebs*
What happens if you put this glorious sandwich creation in the microwave?
Canned bacon and canned bread both seem like they would be very soggy.
I can't even begin to think what that stuff would taste like!
Silly Ernie, thats what women are for.
The microwave radiation will cause the peanut butter DNA to meld with the bread DNA, and will come to life and destroy the world.
Do I really have to play the "I'm a 30-year-old man posting in a gaming forum, do you really think women like me all that much" card one more time?
I don't want that happening again, so maybe I'll avoid the microwave this round
Cheeseburger in a can?!? That looks... not too bad actually. =P
I might even put some of that Hungarian canned bacon on it to make it more interesting... xD
Ha! I play my Blackhole Trap Card, and all playing cards are removed from the field.
"Crab spice" ?
Lol, I don't know what to say for that one... except what the hell is crab spice? xD
I've never tasted Vegemite before, but I've always imagined it tasting exactly like tar! Not that I know what tar tastes like either, but what I imagine it would taste like is the same as what I imagine Vegemite tasting like! xP
Anyone heard of turducken before? I believe it's turkey stuffed with duck stuffed with chicken.
That doesn't look too bad, except... what is that green stuff? >o<
That dish also reminded me of Eskimo ice cream, which is an Alaskan dessert you won't believe!
Not to be confused, of course, with the Eskimo Pie, which is not an Alaskan dessert!
If we're going to talk about weird flavours in chips, try these for size!
They are the result of a contest made by Lays Chips last year and this was the runner up:
Babi Pangang Chips...
And this was the winner:
Patatje Joppie Chips
(To elaborate on it's taste: it's a sauce to eat over/with your fries...)
Some more...
Mojito flavoured Chips and Cheeseburger flavoured Chips! (o.O)
And also a weird tasting one, I would never try : Scampi Flavoured Chips! Yuch! (o.O)
---
And here's a demotivational one... whattha!? (o.O)
Haggis and black pepper flavoured crisps. I've never tried Haggis and I don't particularly want to. These seem terrible.
Those of us who were here back in 2011 are fully aware that potato chip flavors have no limits.
Out of these four flavors, I'm having trouble deciding which one is the most bizarre.
Speaking of bizarre, whose idea was it to stuff a bird into a bird into a bird and then try and pass it off as food? It should be renamed "oultryception". At least it isn't whipped fat and berries, but it's still a bit of a ridiculous thing to come up with.
I still want a turducken t-shirt though.
@ Strange scampi product
The description describes it as a "cereal snack with a delicious scampi & lemon taste"... I probably wouldn't mind it had they used potatoes, but cereal? =/
Also, I found these from the same company:
Does the flavor surprise anyone at this point? xD
@ Haggis chips
I've never tried haggis before either but knowing what it's made of, I doubt the chips could be any worse than the real thing... xP
@ Wasabi Lays
Even though one of the flavors you posted is Roast Ox, I'd have to say the wasabi ones are the weirdest for me! Potato chips or not, wasabi has a downright weird flavor on its own!
@ Turducken shirt
I want one too!
More bacon I see? Perhaps it's time to bring up the Bacon Explosion.
Yes, that is woven bacon.
And for all of you seafood lovers, here lies what could be one of the greatest combinations of two foods that mankind has ever regurgitated out of their own genius.
You have not lived until you have experienced the glorious divinity that is bacon-wrapped shrimp.
I don't know about that enormous bacon log, but that bacon-wrapped shrimp does look tasty. The best part about it is that it looks pretty easy to make. No stoves or ovens, just a barbecue and some skewers.
