In light of the recent tragic earthquake in Haiti, Armor Games has pledged 50% of all Crush the Castle proceeds from this week to be donated to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund as part of Apps for Haiti Week. Apps for Haiti will run from January 18-22. You can download Crush the Castle from iTunes and support the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund by clicking HERE.
Thank you Armor Games for your support to help the Haitian people in this time of need.
UPDATE #1 : On Monday YOU helped raise $850 for Haiti relief. Lets raise even more today!
UPDATE #2 : $740 was raised on Tuesday. So far the grand total raise for Haiti is $1,590.
UPDATE #3 : $686 was raised on Wednesday. Total raised is now over $2,000!!
UPDATE #4 : $756 was raised on Thursday.
UPDATE #5 : $810 was raised on Friday, bringing the total contribution to $3,842!
Thanks again to everyone who participated. I’ll be making the donation to the Red Cross Haiti Relief fund next week. (I’ll post confirmation once the money has been donated)

anyone find it odd that they use a game about destroying buildings and killing people with falling debris to raise haitian relief funds?

Huh, I didn't think about it like that. But if you look at the different Armor Games apps though, you will see that Crush the Castle is the highest priced (still only at 1.99!) game, and also the most popular. So it is the one that would likely have to most potential to make a better donation.

At least your not doing it with the power of earthquakes though right? I'm sure its merely a coincidence that you are able to make that connection. I mean if you want to go that far, you may as well also make the argument that they all have Hemophilia because they all die from the slightest tap. The rest of what I might say has already been said by Carlie.

I find it odd that you signed up for an account just to leave a comment aimed @ debunking our 'AppsforHaiti' campaign.
FYI. Yesterday we raised $850 for Haiti. Thanks to everyone who bought the App!

mcneely i had an account already, but i forgot my username.
and i don't think it's bad to contribute to the haitian relief fund, but it was a poor choice to have a game with that content linked to raising the money

What was your old account name?
CTC was our only App in the top-100 which is what AppsforHaiti.org was accepting. I'm sorry you feel it was a poor choice and you don't have to buy it or support our funding raising efforts.
(Which as of yesterday had raised over $1,500)

am not sure. can they look it up through email?
so wait, appsforhaiti picked which game would be used to raise funds?
congrats on the fund raising.

Ya, we didn't have a choice. (They only took Apps in the top-100 paid list)
I can see your point about the game being violent and I appreciate your thoughts. I'll try and be more conscience of things like this in the future.
