    First, merits: Check the stickies in the newcomer's section for those. Basically you need to write fantastic game comments, and hope a mod find them as fantastic as you do.

    As for the spamming, well, that was why I asked you not to keep double and triple posting. That is, after all, how we learn: By trying, failing and getting someone to tell you how to work it out. However, just to be on the safe side, I do recommend reading the stickies/pinned topics and the rules and guidelines for good measure.
