Hey, I saw you asking on kevin44's profile, and I just wanted to let you know what merits are =D.
Merits are earned by writing long, constructive, and thoughtful comments on games, usually ones that you like. you want to also have some organization or flow to what you are saying, so don't have every piece of the game crammed into one sentence. I would break it down in to topics like gameplay (how fun the game is)
graphics
music and sounds (do you like the music, find it annoying, etc.)
Things that could make the game better
and any other topic that I didn't cover that you think needs to be covered. Anyway, good luck, I hope you get lots of merits =D

Merits are long, thoughtful comments on games that will help the game developers.
