  1. Hi, I would like to discuss working on a project for us. I'm sure it would be very simple with your skills and we can pay. Please email daniel@sharmockgift.com

  2. Great game but a few glitches. I have gotten stuck in certain parts of certain levels. Jumping up to a bevelled platform and find I can't move back or forth or anywhere. I 've gotten stuck here and there in other levels also and had to  restart the game. All in all a good game and worth the time to figure out.

  3. Are there a secret boss hidden in solar rift? When I've beaten the game, there are still one creature that I can't observe. Can you tell me what's it?

  4. Is the music for your game the one from donkey kong? It reminded me of the water  levels in the SNES DKs

  5. Starting off with the loading screen, I really like the hexagonal "filling in 'load bar' " and the ambience is tremendous. The background music gives the feel of an "other-worldly" experience. And as it is obvious, this game is a really great interpretation of the Metroid series.

For the game play, the control scheme is comfortable and the mechanics of using different ammo for different colored doors keep the nostalgia of Metroid flowing. I was a bit disappoint though, with the fact that I can't duck, but that's a minor thing. The bosses are actually quite difficult, but I find that in the map, it is too easy to survive, the extremely fast regeneration of Moras Caches make healing a breeze. This unbalances the difficulty too much. Also, the fact that "S" is the same for activating/talking and shooting is very inconvenient when saving.

Like Metroid, the stats on the pause menu show the gameplay time and completion %. This gives the player a good idea of how they do and brings the idea of possibly speedrunning the game for highscores, a great thing to have. The one thing I found a bit shabby was the map, even if it shows the contours of the rooms correctly, it is somewhat esthetically unpleasant.

The Creature Index is nicely built. The weaknesses of each enemy is shown numerically, which is very useful, unlike in for example Metroid Prime, one would scavenge through the information of the creature itself to find out any weakness.

I was impressed by the accuracy of the different types of terrain blocks in the game. The crumbling ones, especially, are flawless mimics of the ones in Metroid. The artwork style is to my liking, but I think if the background solids were more similar to the character's art style, with greater detail, it would have merged much better.

Finally, I like how you mixed the story from Metroid Prime 2 with your original ideas to create an original storyline.

Every Metroid fan has to try it. Good job!
