About

"See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental principles of the world, and not according to Christ." --Colossians 2:8

Confucius say all your question will be answer!

Trojan Chinese Christian. The first part of my username rhymes with "bar." Dedicated to enriching the AMW experience and inspiring AG's poets. That's about all you need to know about me. If you're still curious, keep reading.

I really enjoy poetry: writing, reading, and critiquing it. My own poetic style is influenced by Keats, Shakespeare, and Frost, generally sentimental in nature and almost always rhymed and (as strictly as I can pull it off) metered. I dislike free verse not because it's bad, but because almost everyone (myself included) does not know how to write it. But of course, you will forgive me for being prejudiced; I don't think I would be human without it.

In this world faith and reason are not opposed to each other. Faith is the conviction of what arises from reason. The real war is between the combined forces of our faith and reason and that inherent irrationality that comes from our emotions and imagination. The world is not quite as black and white as we imagined.

Wanna talk to me outside of AG? You've got a lot of options. You can find me at Deviant Art, and visit AG's group there. You can hit me up at parsat.online@gmail.com, my email. If you own Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, or Left 4 Dead 2 on PC, feel free to greet me on Steam as well.

  3. I think after a certain number of years not utilizing Chinese as much, our translations get quite shoddy haha.

  4. Ah well I was forced to because we were apparently supposed to use them in our examination's letter writing and essay writing components.

I feel like a Ming Dynasty scholar on this one.

  5. Ah, I remember the days I was forced to memorize tons of those, and tons of quotes, proverbs, famous lines, from Chinese literature.
