SHOPS (The Spammer and Hacker Organization Prevention Society) is fully active and taking reports!  Hence the fully risen Sun armatar!

Why is SHOPS here?

SHOPS is an AG approved organization here to help the mods deal with the amount of reports they receive everyday. What we will do is accept reports (of spamming, flaming, etc) just like the mods do, and we'll go through them and make sure that they are legit. If action doesn't need to be taken we won't pass it along, however if they do we will collect a few reports together and give them to the mods in a neat post.

To report something please fill out this form and then post it in the comments.

Name of offender: (name of user who committed the offense)
Type of offense: (spam*, flame*, repeat thread, etc.)
Link to offense: (provide link to where the user committed said offense. without a link your report will not be considered)

*If it is only one comment please flag it. No need to report unless the spamming or flaming is continued.

   The other thing is that it is not wise to mix a personal conflict with a group conflict, nor is it proper for a club to declare enemies on a group or an individual.

   Please be advised that I've intervened regarding VoteSocialist, so no further correspondance is necessary (or desirable).

   Two things: Green12324 has filled me in on how SHOPS was reinstated. I have some more history to give.

   Previously, one major role of SHOPS was to suggest merits for the mods since it's difficult for moderators to keep tabs on this currently. However, many users were creating alt-accounts to spam the page with suggestions that their comments were merit worthy, which made the club's continued running unsustainable.

   However things may have changed since then. Carlie's not around at the moment, but perhaps if everybody is brought up to speed, we could work out the best course of action from there.

   Does anybody know who reopened SHOPS? I'd also be interested to know who actually has access to SHOPS.

   Some history: SHOPS was closed just over a year ago, while Asherlee was still active. The specific reason was because several users had started abusing SHOPS to try and recommend themselves for merits and creating alt accounts for the purpose.

   However, we are unsure as to the current role of SHOPS, and whether it's doing anything that isn't already being covered on an individual basis.
