  1. When did this happen? O.o

I must not have been online when it happened.

    - H

  2. "Sounds like a good idea, but I can't really see how to implement it."

It's not necessarily mechanics for this, but story.

"One of the things I really found impressive about that game was the water in the beginning of the game, it just looked so good."

It's "meh" for me in terms of graphics. It was great, but not really something I'd rate it on.

"-wow I got so used to composing on my own profile that I was looking for your comment to switch over to your profile."

Haha. :D I still compose on my own profile, I just remember to switch profiles.

  3. "and I can't delete my own messages for some reason, they're permanently there."

    I've the same issue.

"I was also thinking of how they did bioshock's flashbacks with the holograms."

Never played much of Bioshock, honestly. :<

"otherwise you just waiting for the throne to have something interesting appear on it since thats all the guy was staring at."

Haha :D sorry about that. I believe there was another video providing subtitles -- they're the exact same as the one in the W3 cinematic. :)

"It remindes me of Silent Hill where his/her (depending on game) guilt is the things that forms all the monsters."

Makes sense. And hey -- maybe this is something you could implement to help others empathize as well. Particularly if the school one is the teachers (particularly any good one you gave a hard time) and etc.

    - H

  4. "I do the same, even now -- except now I remember because of the countless times I've felt stupid because of it :D"
I don't get why you feel ashamed of it though, only problem I have with it is the mods frown on doing it and I can't delete my own messages for some reason, they're permanently there.

    ". . .
The same as Amnesia. When I said flashbacks I did just mean the audio -- because otherwise you'd be incorporating things that wouldn't really be scary and it wouldn't fit."
To be fair I actually came up with that idea before amnesia came out. I was also thinking of how they did bioshock's flashbacks with the holograms.

"This is where Arthas kills his father (the King). Although, I don't know if you're a lore-hound so it really doesn't mean all that much. But something like that is always nice (even though World of Warcraft isn't all that good for the morbid stuff, it's brilliant to have even in the MMORPG)."
yea that video REALLY should have had that information in the comment because otherwise you just waiting for the throne to have something interesting appear on it since thats all the guy was staring at.

"It doesn't necessarily have to be part of the game but I would imagine having to face everyone you've wronged and everything wrong you've did can help people relate and more importantly immerse themselves"
It remindes me of Silent Hill where his/her (depending on game) guilt is the things that forms all the monsters.

  5. "I use my profile box to compose the message because I could easily scroll down to see the message and sometimes I forget and press post,"

You know it was rhetorical, right? xD

I do the same, even now -- except now I remember because of the countless times I've felt stupid because of it :D

"But then you could use the music a a type of radar for enemy activity, then when there isn't anything scary except for the music the scary music affect no longer applies."

It's kind of what I meant by passive -- you don't need it to react all that much, it's kind of like the white noise, I propose either:

    1) In a confrontation that should be scarier than other experiences in the game, have the white noise fade, and after the confrontation have it missing still to inspire a sense of loneliness or absence that could make the person paranoid, still.

    2) Have music that is very quiet always in the background that does not react to the events that occur in the world, giving an eerie sense that isn't necessarily there when you're fighting because the noise would be too loud for you to hear it.

"That's a good idea actually, didn't really think of having specific sins being taken care of each time."

It doesn't necessarily have to be part of the game but I would imagine having to face everyone you've wronged and everything wrong you've did can help people relate and more importantly immerse themselves. Although it does make it quite a drama show.

"I was thinking of havig the player walk into a room and have the voices playing out what he forgot for so many years."

    . . .
The same as Amnesia. When I said flashbacks I did just mean the audio -- because otherwise you'd be incorporating things that wouldn't really be scary and it wouldn't fit.

The voices you hear are those from World of Warcraft's predecessor's cinematic where. . . spoilers.

This is where Arthas kills his father (the King). Although, I don't know if you're a lore-hound so it really doesn't mean all that much. But something like that is always nice (even though World of Warcraft isn't all that good for the morbid stuff, it's brilliant to have even in the MMORPG).
