Okay, I'm back now.  I've been sick for a while and as such haven't felt like staring at a computer screen, but now I am mostly recovered, so OctoClan scores will now resume updating.

Kudos and +50p to xAyjAy for helping to spread the word earlier so that peoples didn't get worried about their scores!  :)

commanderpaladin is pretty sick so dont wonder if the rank list on the Clan OctoCan site isnt updating. just keep posting if you have new octocan ideas.

It's Thursday evening, and clan voting has ended.  Here are the results:

On the issue of whether to nominate "Kit and the OctoPod" as the Clan Game, and invite its designer to become a member:

Didn't vote - 11

Voter turnout was poorer than expected, but a few members did vote, and in the absence of opposing votes, the motion carries.
The next step will to be sending an invitation to the designer of the game, which will happen tonight.

Welcome to the first Clan OctoCan Members Meeting!  *Bangs Gavel*
Basically, this is like any other club/clan/organization meeting; it's purpose is to discuss possible improvements and expansions to the clan.  All members will receive this message and therefore be included.

First Order of Business:
The Clan has it's official headquarters, official thread and official arts.  However, we lack an official game.  I therefore submit for your consideration to be the OctoClan's official game "Kit and the Octopod."  It's the only game on AG that has anything to do with octopi, and it is pretty fun. 
If you agree by majority vote of clan members to make this the official clan game, the next step will be to contact the author of the game to determine if he wants to have his game designated as such.  Should he accept, he will be automatically accorded membership in the OctoCan Clan and the 250p score for making a clan game.
To vote, please message this account within the next day or so and say whether you agree with this idea or not.  I will count the results by Thursday evening, and the majority will win the vote.

Second Order of Business:
One of our members, Crazyape, has fielded the idea of starting a division of Clan OctoCan through his account on Kongregate.  This is in line with the Clan's goals of propelling OctoCan to internet meme-hood and total interwebs saturation.  While the clan is not CURRENTLY ready to expand this far, I believe we will be in the very near future. 
Please bring forward your own ideas about the clan's forthcoming expansion.  Ideas for how a Kongregate division should be set up, other locations for new divisions, ways to get OctoCan out into the interwebs, and any other good ideas for growing the clan are welcome and will be considered for future use.
Please post said ideas to this account.

Re: OctoClan Messenger  *IMPORTANT*
Due to an oversight on my part and a breach in communications with the Moderation during the development and deployment of the Clan OctoCan headquarters page, I mistakenly thought that the page could be used to send and receive messages regarding clan activities.  Apparently, this is not the case.  Alt accounts must have their messenger boards locked.  Because of this, the OctoClan's messenger has been permanently decommissioned.

The page itself is still there, and will continue to serve as a hall of records, which I will update as often as possible.  Please continue to report your OctoCan posts and artworks from all site locations, including non-clan pages, and be sure to include date, time and location.  You can send these reports to my page here (if that didn't work, it's CommanderPaladin).  Also, I will continue to send messages and coordinate Clan activities via my account. 

This is definitely a logistical setback for the clan, but with some patience I think we will be able to resume normal operations and hopefully expand the Clan further.
