I found this and found it interesting. I'm atheist too btw.

Most atheists simply understand that there is no evidence whatsoever that supports the theory or proves the existence of a god. Therefore they cannot believe in something for which there is no proof. There is an acknowledgement of an absence of facts, and therefore an unacknowledgement of a god. They do not disbelieve in a god, they simply do not believe in a god because there's no logical reasoning/proven evidence that supports doing so.

Just because there's no evidence proving that something DOESN'T exist doesn't mean that there's a possiblity that it exists. It's pretty illogical to have that type of reasoning. There's no evidence disproving the existence of a Flying Spaghetti Monster. Does that make it real?

We make sense of our existence through understanding that the universe and world we exist in was created through natural phenomena and a series of actions and reactions.

I'd also just like to address another issue people take up with Atheists since there's a limited number of posts. Some people think Atheists are atheists simply because they don't want to answer to a "higher power" and want to get away with doing whatever they want. Well, I've addressed why most people are Atheists already. But, as for the no moral obligation part -- at the end of the day we are responsible for ourselves. Our actions, which are often based on what we find to be right or wrong, not only affect us on a daily basis but can affect our futures. We have to be ok with who we are as people. Morals aren't restricted to religion.
