Only 2.5 weeks. After that I went to Lanzhou, China for 3 weeks, and then Beijing another week. Then school came. So it's been pretty hectic since. I have to kind of ration my web presence.
And the classics, alas. Poetry to most people is either too lofty, or too strangely emotional, so they opt for the one they feel is more in reach.
We have the choice of writing either poetry or prose responses. I opt for the former. Most of my class isn't that into the canon though. Spoken language and rap are simply too popular.
I'd say I've been absent for six months now. Ever since I took my trip to Mongolia last summer I really haven't been able to get into AG, even after I got back. School stuff is probably the main factor.
The poetry course is called "Exploding the Literary Canon: Rap and Rhapsody." Basically, each week we read a work of the literary canon alongside spoken/urban poetry/rap, and we discuss and write our own responses to it. It's been terrific fun.
And as for the armatar, the questions are pretty infrequent, although I see you get them too. Maybe we should form a support group.

I would like to go back to Mongolia again...our mission planted a church there, so I'd like to see how it's doing.
