That's true I guess. The expanding foam idea seems ridiculous, when you think of it, but I included it in the explanation because it is a semi-legitimate theory.

Well, at first they weren't really too freaked out, because they didn't know what the bite could do. However, when she exploded behind the screen, theres one of two things that could've happened:
1. The bite injected some type of expanding substance into her bloodstream, and the high concentration caused her to explode. This theory is reinforced by the fact she began bleeding from her eyes and other body openings.
2. The creature laid an egg in her, and it hatched Alien Style, out of her stomach. This theory is reinforced by the fact that when she is pulled behind the curtain, a soldier trains his assault rifle at her stomach.
