I never thought you called me an insecure brony or anything like that, so we're good there. Besides, nothing about me is insecure. I would however, argue that the gender/sex argument isn't a well of red herrings, they have different accepted meanings, I found an article to read if you so wished to. Take from it what you will. It's been good, mate.

I'm not going to bother replying on the MLP thread because we've strayed off the topic. I'm not defensive, I don't watch the show anymore, I never needed to defend myself. Even when I DID watch it, I could not have cared less about what people thought. You're reading a bit far into that. However, I still maintain that marketing toward a specific group does not denote the product being for that group. Marketing easy bake ovens to exclusively girls instills the notion in young boys that easy bake ovens are FOR girls, and that's simply not true. It is not a girls toy, and it should not be marketed as such. It should be marketed as a childrens oven. Baking in a miniature oven is not gender exclusive, even if it's pink and glittery. You said humans have only 2 genders, which is incorrect. There are only 2 sexes, and even then things get confusing. There are people with XXY chromosomes, and regular XY men who are immune to testosterone. Gender is a far more complex subject than sex, and encompasses men inside womens bodies, vice versa, and those who don't identify with either. Also, it's worth mentioning that the brony community is ridiculed not only because they watch a so called "girls show", but because of how eccentric and public they are about how perfect the show is.
