    I really didn't have a problem with the shard holders in Hands of War 2 as a Ranger. I went in with four melee people (I was using the grunts because I was allied with the merchants, but I can't imagine the mercenary fighters would have been different), and just stood in the corner and mashed the mouse button.  For the boss fights, I suppose I triggered the default rune (just the space bar) to increase my damage, and once or twice I may have popped a frenzy potion as well for the same reason, but they all seemed to go down without any stress.
