I’m a fan of halo. there are a lot of games like that where aliens attack, but this has a different reason. First of all the covenant attack because their prophets told them to do it. Halo 1,it’s flood vs. covenant vs. humans.Halo 2 the elites join the humans because they realized the great journey was a fake.The forerunner made halo to kill everything in the universe,and it did. brutes, grunts,jackals and hunters are against humans, flood,and elites.(which would technically be humans.) flood against everything. the humans/elites against the covenant (brutes jackals grunts hunters) and flood. the forerunner is  compleltly is gone, because they all died,due to the detnation of the halo. halo reach was before planet reach was destroyed.so all that is really different is that the new weapons, and the weapons that are gone. DMR,needle rifle,focus beam plasma launcher nade launcher. (new weapons)  jetpack,sprint,armor lock,invisibility. (power ups)
beam rifle,carbine,brute shot. (weapons gone) magnum scope  magnum speed and strength. (weapon yay's :)  )
