Quotes that interests me and I have found/remembered.
Anatole France: "Stupidity is far more dangerous than evil, for evil takes a break from time to time, stupidity does not."
Assassins Creed: "Nothing is True, everything is permitted"
Unknown Source: "Stupidity is what really killed the cat, curiosity was just framed."
Unknown Sourse: "Raise your hand if you ever took on the Elite Four with an uber *
now, if your hand is raised, make a fist and keep punching yourself until you come up with a good reason for why you raised your hand when I can't actually see it to verify you did it"

86 that, one of my job applications went through and I won't have the time to GM the game. Oh how fate plays tricks on us! sorry, I was really looking forward to GMing again, but I guess not.

Okay then, you've officially abandoned your current side to become a Mercenary. Now, as you've effectively said "Screw you, I want to be paid and do whatever I want" to the Kingdom, they tossed you out. Well, the Anarchy might hire you depending on your price, but the GC will fanatically kill you if they see you. (In real life, this is what defectors get!)

Yes, you can go freelance and not take any side, BUT! You won't have access to the Kingdom/Anarchy/GC's base and all the goodies that come with it. You're essentially a wandering rogue. And you'd also miss out on the good storyline. You still okay with going freelance?

Yes but I'll make you all die one day. Speaking of which... I should get back to the hunger thing.
