in the ak-47 thread its accuricy isnt an issue, its its recoil / kickback. snipers have high kickback like the AK-47

It's not all fun and games being a pilot, but the positives outweigh the negatives, for sure. My advice to you, would be that of discipline and routine. Structure and plan your weeks, as that'll help you to get accustommed to life in the RAF. To pass advanced and basic flying training, you need to read up and memorise 900 manuals on the respective aircraft. You have very little time to do so, and the pass mark is 95%, 100% on the red pages. I developed a great scheduling technique that enabled me to get through training, both IOT and flight, so that'd be my main piece of advice.

Raptors are mind boggling. It's not just the stealth capability, but the supercruise, is simply staggering. I know of no other jets that can go into a 90 degree climb and accelerate without the use of afterburners!
I hope you have a good time on the course. Experiences like this will be invaluable during IOT. It puts you well ahead of the other candidates.
