ACT 1 - KIDNAPPING
ACT 1 - KIDNAPPING
Leave the cave. Go to the top left of the screen, climbing a ladder which leads to a small city. Travel as far right as possible. Climb some ladders to find a skeleton with a backpack next to it. Pick up the backpack. Return to the cave, avoiding the mutants on the way back (you can comfortably run around them - these enemies only do damage when their attacks hit you). Pick up the DOUBLE JUMP box from outside the cave. Go to the right and perform a double jump to cross the large gap (using the bottoms of the vines as a guide to how to perform a good double jump).
ACT 2 - CAVES
Jump across the small platforms. Note the passage upwards next to a checkpoint. Travel to the right across multiple screens and a city. There is a health pill in one of the buildings (a tall one at the far right of the city, with a Roca Cola sign to the left of it). Once you see mutants, move upwards. Swim through the passage as quickly as possible and take a breath where air is available. Keep going left until you see a house. Enter the house and leave through the other end. Learn melee from the man in the cage. Note: Releasing the man is optional. Drop down on the left side of the screen for a shortcut. Punch the boxes to break them, and jump down. Travel through the caves until you reach the boss. Kill the boss by punching it when it is directly under a spike in the ceiling. Repeat until the boss has hit all spikes. Pick up the WALL JUMP upgrade. Use the vines as a guide and wall jump out of the cave. Travel back (left) to the beginning of the act where you noted an upwards passage next to a checkpoint. On the way back, just before you reach the screen with the man and his son again, is a hidden health pill. Stand on a red platform and use wall jump to climb up to the pill. Once you are back at the checkpoint, use wall jump to climb all the way up.
ACT 3 - STATUES
Travel to the right, past some statues and a small house. Use wall jump to go up. Once you climb past the screen with the mutant and spitting enemy, you will reach a screen with four exits. In the middle to the left is a checkpoint. In the BOTTOM RIGHT, TOP LEFT and LEFT exits are enemies which are guarding some stones. In TOP LEFT there is a house with a health pill in it. Collect all three stones, then go TOP RIGHT. Stand on the platform and hit SPACE to drop the stones. Collect the GUN. Return to the screen with the small house and spitting enemies, at the bottom. Go right. Shoot the chain holding up the red container. Go right until you reach the three statues which resemble the ones seen earlier. Go to the one on the far right, and activate it twice to open the door. Otherwise, align the statues so the first one is the symbol that has two lines pointing to the left, the second is a diamond shape at the top with a line at the bottom pointing to the left, and the third is the circle.
ACT 4 - RESERVOIR
Keep traveling, eventually you will reach the reservoir caves. Explore the caves until you reach the boss. Kill the boss by releasing energy blasts (hit F). Collect energy particles by shooting the boss. Once the boss is dead, continue to the right. At the bottom left of the next screen is the reservoir pump. Activate it, then leave the screen by wall jumping. Go back to the left until you reach the now empty reservoir. Fall down it and pick up WATER BREATHING.
ACT 5 - WATER
Continue down. In the screen AFTER the one where you encounter the green sucking monster for the first time, go up. In this room, you will find GRENADES. Go back, and swim to the bottom left. You will now be back in Act 1. Destroy the blocks with the grenades. When you are out of the water, climb the two ladders to collect a health pill (using double and wall jump). Go back to the screen before the cave. At the far left is another set of blocks. Destroy these, and take the machine part that is in the cave. Return to Act 5, this time go all the way to the right until you reach the ship. Swim under it to collect a health pill. On the ship, enter the third door from the left. Speak to the mechanic, who will take the machine part. Activate the machine.
ACT 6 - HAZMAT
Swim under the big wall. In the cave with the survivors, speak to the dog three times and it will give you a health pill. Leave the cave, and travel to the right until you reach the hospital. Enter the hospital, and in the second room activate the second set of shelves to pick up medicine. Return to the survivor cave and speak to the old man in the bed. Return to the hospital, and activate the second (blue) car to get the code for the gate. When you have passed the gate, at the top there is a house guarded by some men in hazmat suits. Inside is a health pill. Enter the hazmat lair close to the gate. Enter the lift. When you reach the screen with the closed gate, go up to the top and throw a grenade on the generator. This will kill the lights but also open the gate. Continue to the right. When the lights are back on and you reach the bridge operator, lob a grenade onto the emergency switch to activate the bridge. Kill the boss by dropping crates onto its head. Bring in a crate by activating the computer in the bottom right. Release a crate by activating the computer in the top left. When the boss returns in the next screen, kill it with bullets, grenades and energy blasts. Save Lily, then leave the factory to the right.
