on the house of wolves game what i did was pretty much just build 4 pig farms to the left of main defense so no to be attacked then send only one settler at a time to them then send settlers to get a lot of wood i had like 2000 wood and food then build a lot of famrs to get 100 population then get a lot of spear men upgrade them then send out people to get rocks and supplies and defend with your spearmen then eventually build more units
