I LOVE playing the games here at armorgames.com, but, I would like to see some kind of point system added where when I get a new high score or simply do very well in the game that some of those points are rewarded to my profile. I understand they want us to be involved with the site so we get most of our points through forum posts, game comments, and game ratings. But I don't play these games for nothing. Don't get me wrong, the games are a lot of fun and I enjoy playing. I just would like to see more recognition for my gaming achievements as well.
You don't need achievements outside of the game to make it fun.
Having achievements will give you a goal in games and offer a sense of accomplishment by being rewarded; more incentive. I've played a lot of games in my time here, but most of them were for about five-ten minutes because the only goal I had was to actually finish them, and that wasn't very enjoyable. While I do generally enjoy playing through some games over, over, and over, that doesn't give me much incentive to do that to others. A big reason why Kongregate is so popular is because of the achievements. I assume once AG does that site traffic will rise. I assume the main reason people use AG for games rather than more advanced popular sites is because we have some exclusives. AG is outdated, they need to improve.
The same can be applied to the current AP system. You think if we didn't reward AP for commenting and rating most of the people in the top 100 would have thousands of comments and games rated? Doubtful as most of the comments I see from them is ordinary talk and most people who've rated that many games were around for a month/few months. Unless they spent/spend all their waking time on here it's not possible to have played all those games in less than a month/few months. Points gave/gives them an incentive to do such things, which attracts people to the site for whatever reason.
