The new Saints Row is going to be released in 2013. They were going to make a SR3 DLC but decided to make a full game. Enter the Dominatrix. You get superpowers and you can kill aliens.
Seems like it is a rushed money grab to me. Saints Row 3 has already spewed out some rather disappointing DLC. If they were planning to make Saints Row 4 an add-on to 3 at first, they should have stayed with that plan. It could have possibly saved the game.
A great example of this is Red Dead Redemption. Yes, the base game was fantastic, but the DLC could have easily been made a different game instead of DLC. But Rockstar instead made Undead Nightmare a much more affordable add-on and it was a hit. The same thing could have happened with Saints Row 3, but I guess not.
