I really love everything related to the Japanese. They do a very awesome job in everything especially games. Some very good examples of excellent Japanese-made games are: resident evil, final fantasy, kingdom hearts, okami, etc...
They are really able to make great stories and great gameplay.
Don't you agree that the Japanese are awesome game makers?
I like a couple of Japanese games (Example: Monster hunter) But I think they really just dont have the graphics or other qualities like that that American or European games have.
1 There aren't* 2 just look at the Mario and Pokemon games. There are more of them than most most big western companies made. Just look at Nintendo alone, they make a lot of games, and you must not forget that some games just don't get translate and don't show up outside Asia/Japan.
1 grammar Nazi 2 I'm not sure if different Pokemon games really count. (on the Pokemon topic, anyone played Pokemon rescue team or whatever its called?) I mean they are practically the same when they come out in two packs (example: pokemon red and pokemon blue.) and even the ones that come after are so very similar to the last.

Indeed. The pokemon games are moreso grouped into "generations" rather than individual titles.
But why dawdle on Pokemon alone? We have Capcom! Dead Rising, Street Fighter, UMvC3, Resident Evil, all that goodness!
We have Atlus! The visually-stunning (but gameplay-wanting) El Shaddai and the absolute milestone that is Catherine!
We have From Software! Dark Souls and Demon's Souls have shown how a proper game with difficulty that calls out to the days of yore can prosper in the industry!
And, of course, we have Nintendo. They hold onto their existing characters and franchises like superglue, but continue to produce high-quality content for them. Skyward Sword, Epic Yarn, Galaxy 2, Brawl, it's all good and it's all Nintendo and it's all Japanese. ^_^
