I need to understand something about the Adobe Flash Player plug-in. Specifically regarding this popup that I sometimes see:

I recently had an issue where ~2 years worth of progress on a lot of games got completely erased on my computer. There's go way to retrieve the lost data, that much has been figured out for sure. But I need to know some things that will affect future saves, especially if I start over some of the long-term games I'd been playing.

When I was asking for help, some people advised me that I should save my games online instead of on my hard drive. Some games automatically save online, and there are a select few that give an option of saving online (such as Kingdom Rush, for example), but most games that I had been saving progress on for years (across more than one computer) don't have any option that I can see anywhere of whether or not to save them online.

I'm thinking "maybe the Adobe Flash Plugin pop-up has something do with it?" I don't recall when, if ever, I saw that popup on AG before the recent incident where my data was wiped. But when I returned to AG on my usual browser, it appeared. I haven't yet clicked either "allow" or "deny," I need advice on which to choose.

I know that lots of games store the savegame data in my cache and/or cookies. I assume that clicking "allow" will make games store their saves on my hard drive (which would be at risk of getting erased again any time I cleaned out my temporary internet files again). What if I click "deny?" Does that make it so that such games won't save progress at all?

I've exchanged e'mails with Justin (the tech support guy), but I haven't gotten a response after I asked him this specific question (twice). Maybe he's on vacation or something. But I'm planning to do a windows re-install soon (possibly within the week) & then re-install all my software etc, and I'd like to know the answer before then, so when I come back to AG on a fresh computer, I'll know which button to click when that Adobe plug-in pops up again.

The saved game data is stored onto your computer for some games and this popup screen appears whenever your data limit is not set high enough for some games featured on ArmorGames.

When you visit the online Adobe Flash Player website, you can change the settings of your own instaled Flash Player and increase the amount of date you want to allow for ArmorGames to store on your computer, that much I do know.

But where to find all the data that is stored for your games is something I never looked into as I never bothered to migrate them for whatever reason...

I hope someone else can answer that part of your predicament for you! =)

Thanks, MrDayCee. It doesn't answer my question, but you did explain some stuff that helps me understand it. So now I know why the popup appeared recently after not having shown up for so very long.

Now can anyone answer as to what would happen if I clicked "Deny" instead of "Allow?" In the cases of games that normally store their data on my computer, would clicking "deny" result in game progress not being saved over time at all?
