Instead of typing up a bunch of stuff, this is what I wrote to louissi concerning the game.
"I don't know if you check your profile but I was interested in Armor Mayhem 2.
Let me say this: I can't wait. The original game was fantastic, and it combined some of AG's most favorite games together. It had that awesome platforming action that games like Raze have, yet it also had those cartoon-ish graphics that made it appealable for all audiences, much similar to Jimp's work in John's games. The level designer was the best part. It was a lot like Joey Betz's Crush The Castle, where you could make custom castles to knock down. It would be nice if AM2 had a player's pack where you featured the most popular levels. Those keep the series alive and make people hooked. The guns were all original; you had all the basic ones that all games had, but they were simply unnamed. They didn't look anything like normal guns either, they were cartoon-ish and had that iconic graphical quality. I couldn't help but notice the guns had the same graphics, but AM2's graphics look closely similar to Raze's graphics. Do you have the same graphic designer as Juice_Tin did for Raze? If so, it kind of takes that originality factor away.
Well, good luck with AM2. Keep the originality, and make sure this one has a level editor and a player's pack. "
"I have been working for over a month on this project with a friend of mine. As with the last one, I will be making everything except the level art. The goal of this project is the re-do the visuals and upgrade the game-play to make this game even more awesome. I really hope I will be able to bring back the level editing and sharing. I modified the tools a lot and it would be fun to have the time to make them âpublic readyâ. Lets cross our fingers on this one. I will try to post more updates on AM2 as soon as I find enough time to do so."
That Actually looks really good. The characters do look very similar to Raze but its not a problem. Raze was a great game. Maybe ill actually play AM2. The last online multiplayer game i got hooked on was stick arena a few years back. They can be a lot of fun so im looking forward to this. Any idea of when it will be released?
louissi says the first AM took approximately 1000 hours to make, and it was his biggest project. 1000 hours is a long time to spend on a game, and if he plans on wroking on it non-stop, I'd say 3 months from now, at the very least.
From louissi's website,
Released : December 2010 Inspired by Unreal Flash, Raze and Smileys War, it was my biggest project ever. It took around 1000 hours of work to complete. Humanity is at a turning point. Infinite energy crystals have been found on another planet and you have to fight to take control of it. Unlock weapons and maps as you progress to expand the game as you play. Use the map editor to create your own levels!
