I cannot believe this. It was bad enough ArmorGames released 3 MMO's within 6 days, purely for the sole task of making people waste hard earned $$$ on them, but now you make something called
TERRA MONSTERS. Oh man. We're gonna make wierd shaped animals, give them elements, give you a beginning one, weaken a "terra monster" and "capture" it with a "crystal." Then, you'll kill more terra monsters and level, and they'll evolve :O /GASP!!!
Pokemon: We'll give them elements. When you drop their hp, you can "catch" them with a "okeball". Then, you'll kill more pokemon and fight other people with their pokemon. Your pokemon will then evolve as they level.
Dear god AG, watch what you're doing. What you did is near copyright infringement. Because it's early, and I type 110 WPM, I can't go on a full rant without waking everybody up in my apt. But those similarities above are just a small FEW. I'll be back, with a full list of comparisons.
AG does not make any of these MMO games. These have been made by other people and then released onto many different sites.
While it's true that Terra Monsters look similar to Pokemon, there are a few other Pokemon 'clones' out there on the Internet. I won't mention them but you can look them up if you like and see the similarities.
99 percent of the game on the site we do not make. We sponsor some games, and others are brought to us to decide upon hosting them. This includes not only Terra Monsters, but the other MMO style games.
What you did is near copyright infringement.
You just said it all. A company can not copyright the idea of fighting, catching and then battling strange animals. Nor could they copyright any general idea/genre.
So I'm not stupid enough to argue with these, I apologize, I thought that AG was creating these MMO's. Apologies for the misunderstanding there.
However, sure, the IDEA can't be copied, but it's still copying the game if they're close enough, and the similarities were so striking that the 2nd decision of the game made me yell "POKEMON." Certainly it's a little TOO close to the idea of Pokemon, which IS copyrighted, and I'm sure that there is a clause in there that would apply to this. (NOT 100% SURE)
Whatever, I guess I just won't play it if I don't like it. However, I don't go to an Online Game Site to play GBA type games :| Disappointed me to be honest.
