It's natural for a die-hard Scooby Doo fan to be disappointed by the lack of Scooby Doo discussion threads in circulation. What this tells me is that there are very few of us lurking in these forums. However, I know I can't be the only one despite the fact that I'm the first to expose myself as such.

I'm not talking about the recent bologna that's on TV now; I'm a die-hard fan of the original TV series, and the decent expansions that didn't involve *shudders and vomits violently* Scrappy Doo.

However, this thread is for all-things Scooby. So take off your masks and discuss one of the greatest TV franchises of all-time.

Scooby Doo was great. Looking at the list the ones I remember watching at least some of are Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!,A Pup Named Scooby-Doo,and What's New, Scooby-Doo?

And I have only seen about the first 4 direct-to-video films.

The original of course was the best. It went downhill quickly for me though.

Scooby-Doo was great!

Note: Was.

A lot of the movies are great but the series as a Saturday cartoon show has lost it's fun. I'm not that fond of the new style for the show. I really prefer the good old rolling backgrounds and painted-like style of the old show.

My favourite was Scooby-Doo and the Boo Brothers. Best moment of my childhood. I've since lost the tape. :'(

Yeah. My sister was recently watching one of the new episodes. At one point, Scooby said a paragraph worth of words, as opposed to the expected quick phrase. I had to actively decipher what he was saying.

It's a fine show... I didn't realize, though, that the villains had motives until years after I first watched it! I wasn't the world's brightest child... =P

A large part of my childhood was made up by Scooby. The last series about Scooby that I saw was What's new, Scooby Doo? and that was mediocre at best. I think all they did was improve the animation in. I don't want to watch any of the other new ones because I think they'd ruin Scooby for me. I didn't like the theatrical movies either, they didn't seem right. The animated ones are the best.

The originals were the best. End of story. The new ones are too serious. I mean come on, whats to be taken seriously about a talking dog? Its so annoying. I enjoyed the old ones. Only a few Scooby Doo videos did I not enjoy.
1. That live action video with evil Scrappy.... Why?
2. That Zombies Island one. That scared me so much when i was a child. I had nightmares for a week. I stopped watching Scooby Doo until the age of 10.

Original scoobeh on who the villian was: Oh wow, didnt know it was him!
Next series: Huh, well, he was on my list.
Next: Yeah, he seemed suspecious.
Next: Kinda obvious...
Next: HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHO IT IS!?!??!??!?!?
Newest series: Huh. A REAL story. Multiple villians. Many episodes connect the plot together. Practiclly every character has a romance. Weird.
Animated movies: Well everything basiclly said it WASNT them. Guess i was wrong.
Live action movies: Evil scrappy tired of being "The scrappy"(As TVtropes calls it)and creating body swapping monsters? Da heck?

I love the original Scooby Doo. Like the ones from the 60's and 70's. Those were the best. That stupid Scrappy Doo or whatever it was was just horrid. And awful. I remember watching that thing when I was little and sure, I liked it then but I hate it now.

The movies were pretty bad. They didn't live up to the original series and the actors didn't even look anything like the originals.

The original Scooby Doo's were amazing! Except....now that they remade it with new voice artists and new graphics, it's just terrible! I liked the classics better.

Like almost every cartoon, the original and old ones were the best. I remember watching them and just loving them! One of my absolute best childhood memories.

But, once again like many other cartoon series, the movies weren't so good. The live-action ones were absolutely ~horrible~. Y'know, like the one with Seth Green in it? They were just so... UGH.

Lol, I hate to break it to you, but the original series did a terrible job keeping it a mystery as to who the villain really was! Half the time it turned out to be the only extraneous character or one of two, while the other half it was someone who wasn't introduced until the villain was unmasked!

The animated movies at least introduce enough characters to keep the mystery fun! =P
