Lately its seems that there is a virus going around. Symptoms:Make an excellent series of games, start making the games half assed, and then becoming a money ***** and try to make your series a half done generic MMO. I call this virus MMO Sellout syndrome. But seriously take a look around. Amazing games turning to crap. Even the legendary Bethesda is guilty of this! Bethesda has been making breath taking RPG games for quite some time now. Starting with Oblivion it seemed like they started dumming down the Elder Scrolls series. Don't get me wrong I love Oblivion and Skyrim but they're a cakewalk compared to Morrowind or Daggerfall. And now out of the blue a mmo? Really? I wont go on and on about The Elder Scrolls, that is another whole topic by itself. Another example. Star Wars Knights of the old republic. First game amazing! Second game Amazing but the story was very rushed. And when I heard KoToR III was coming out I became so excited. Then they said were going for an MMO. I was ok with that idea at the time. But then I finally played the game. And started to get a heart ache cause I missed the old RPG feel and the MMO was very mediocre. And here is an other example. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R Trilogy. Man those games are dynamite. One of my favorite series. Then I hear stalker 2 is coming out. I get excited. Then the company is bought out and now they're are making ANOTHER MMO! Why? There are more examples of this happening. I like MMOs just fine. But leave MMO games to companies like Blizzard. They have perfected the art of MMOs. Companies who have never made MMOs all the sudden feel that they'll make loads of money by doing this. But anyways that's my opinion. Tell me what you guys think of this "movement".
